Great point Frank, I didn't even think of that. Is sending the #2 for bledsoe an overpay though? Haven't seen him enough to know.

Me either, but would have to think he is better than any rookie PG.

What are you trying to say? I can't make up my mind

I'd bet McDo has 2-3 guys he likes, and certainly we have the minutes to give them. The challenge here is to obtain a second player who we have targeted... hopefully, someone we like drops down into the teens and a pick is obtainable.

Go best big and get a wing in late lottery. I hear you.......I am down with that if Oladipo is off of the boards...

The Magic are full of crap....they know we want Oladipo and other teams do to, so they are willing let it be known they are looking to move back. They know we have no interest in Burke (maybe we do?) I say the Suns need to let it out that they like Burke....to scare them into coming to us instead of vice versa.... Gambo needs to keep his big mouth shut, unless Micky D is targeting someone else and he is playing Gambo for the sucka that he is....

I am sure McD knows Gambo would tell the whole world the obvious.

EDIT: if we move up to draft Oladipo, that means we would have to trade some asset that would help us acquire another pick!

Talk about a tough sell, I'm not sure that this new front office has the "clout" yet to sell the casual fanbase on trading the #5 pick to move back in the draft.

It seems to make a ton of sense for those of us who follow the team daily and know that they might feel better grabbing a guy like McCollum or someone else further back while gaining an asset or two. However, to the casual fanbase that has the image of the Suns being cheapskates who sell draft picks, it surely will not go over very well, especially if we pass on a "big name" like Burke.

I'm worried that we might end up going BPA at #5 which may mean Burke/Bennett

The rotator cuff injury has to be dropping Bennett. He has enough question marks that teams will want to see him work against very specific competition.

I'm kind of off the Bazz bandwagon again. His only strength is scoring. That's it. Doesn't play defense, doesn't pass...how is this guy helping you if he can't score?

At this point I'd be willing to trade up with Orlando by giving them #5 and #30 and then acquire another pick around #10.

Draft Oladipo at #2 and Zeller, Adams, or Len with the pick we acquire.

Portland can't trade the pick (Stepien rule) and the Suns can't trade Scola until July as he's an amnesty pickup. Also, Blazers are over the cap, so this trade doesn't work financially.
And wrong thread.

Is there any deal we could make to get the #2 pick while keeping #5? Maybe something including Dragic, then we could grab McLemore/Oladipo + Burke.

The more tape and reports I have read on Len, I'm coming away very impressed. Guy has star potential. He's a bit of a project though and will take time but thats alright because we have time. Plus he's only 19 years old making him one of the youngest in this draft. Would be a great pick at #5 IMO.

Sell them..
Gortat for pick 13 and filler.

They will then resign Mayo.

Maybe even a 3 way to get them another asset.

Too bad the Mavs will only know if they "missed out on Howard and Paul" after the draft.

The deal can be agreed upon, then completed 7/1. Portland isn't over the cap, they have almost 15m in cap space.

That's too risky IMO.

No, they are still over the cap. Salary cap year ends on June 30.

I love Bennet, just love his game. I know he duplicates Markieff, but he's who we wanted Kieff to be, and the competition may be good for both. Obviously, not a 5 pick, justa guy I really look forward to watching.

Me too. If our SG duo is gone i'd be pleased with AB but I think he's Charlotte-bound.
