Yep, me neither. I`d rather try to draft high potential SF like Rodney Hood or James Young instead.

Deng will be 29 at the end of the season. Considering that for most of his career he played heavy minutes in a physically and mentally exhausting system, while dealing with all kinds of nagging injuries, I think he will fall off a cliff soon. I don't give him more than two productive seasons after this one.

Deng would fit perfectly in our system tho. He doesn't need the ball in his hands and does all the little things that don't show in the boxscore.

Do we really want to give a max contract to Bledsoe? Then we are not re-signing Dragic after he opts out... Just sayin'

And a big NO to any type of Deng deal this season, or to signing him next offseason - unless he comes on a Millsap deal, which he wont.

Yes Bledsoe is younger and has star potential. I wouldn't rule out the Suns giving Dragic an extension like Ellis got with the Warriors. Something like 4/40.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I still dont feel 100% good about Bledsoe and a max contract if we have a very similar player right next to him, especially with the salary situation afterwards. But I dont want to argue just for the sake of argument, plus I see some chance of this thing working if Bledsoe keeps getting better, and we sign/draft/develop 1-2 more quality guys. Overall I m super impressed with our team from top to bottom this year, including owner, management, coaches, doctors, etc...

What's the alternative? A lot of teams wanted Bledsoe and McD went to great lengths calling Milwaukee to create a 3-way using a UFA (Reddick) to get the deal done. Both Babby and McD said he'll be here for a long time.

Dont really see a good alternative (sign and trade? depending on the trade), I was just speaking my mind on the too much free time I have on my hands on xmas eve watching boring bball games (although this jam by Jackson was nice).

I just don't see the point of trading the player who's future we control rather than the player who controls his own with a player option. Tbh I thought they'd trade Dragic but I'm pretty sure both will be here for a while now.

You know what? If we had a chance to get Born Ready instead of Bledsoe, I think I would do it. He is more of a traditional SG, so we wouldnt have to roll with the 2 PG lineup.

But this has no chance of happening (even though he is an UFA this summer), I m just throwing it out there for u to be able to see better my line of thinking.

2 PG lineups are the future of the NBA, mark my words. Remember how good Knicks were looking last season with Felton and Kidd starting, not to mention our current lineup. There is absolutely no need to break up our own Slash bros.

And who is `Born Ready`?

Thanks.

Stephenson is a nice player but I`d rather have Bledsoe on my team 10 times out of 10.

So what would be an actual package that fits this description, and what do you think it could get us? Sounds to me like a pretty narrow space to operate.

The Tyson Chandler trade idea in my original post...that was one. Suns would only be trading 1 or 2 of the 6 first rounders they have in '14-'15. And no players...well none of the core 8-9.

Did I get through the narrows?

Well, doesn't look like it according to the thread in the trade board. Tyson Chandler, even if NY entertained moving him (and if it was to us for basically nothing tangible, which would be weird considering they are forced to win now), is not what the Suns should pursue to push a cinderella run this season, as he broke his leg, and also is on the books next year at $15M.

Well, lets just say we agree to disagree. :) A two point guard lineup only works properly (conference finals properly at least) if one of your PGs is big and strong. We dont have a PG thats both. While Dragon is big enough, he is not strong enough, and Bled is strong but not big enough. Ason was 6'4 and 201 in NY, so he could D up on opposing SGs.

Wait. You're using the NY Knicks and an ancient Jason Kidd as your example of how far a 2 pg system can go? Um, well, o.k.

I wasnt Ryu was. Go re-read. But if u want to suggest that 2 small point guard systems do work, you can bring any examples from the last 20 years, be my guest.

Didn't the Mavs run it with Nash and Nick Van Exell for stretches in 2003? Mo Williams-Delonte-Gibson for the Cavs? Curry and Jack last season for the Warriors?

It's certainly done before, but we'd need to define 'work'.

What do you Suns fans think of something like this:

Magic trade: Hedo Turkoglu and Mo Harkless
Suns trade: Emeka Okafor and Lakers' 2014 pick

If you guys cut Hedo before Jan 7th, his contract is non-guaranteed, so you basically take all that cap off for nothing and get a good, young 19 year old small forward.

Two point guard lineups?
