I just get this feeling McMully is a smug sore loser and to deal Knight would be admittance of a deal gone bad. Anyway, we got the little chucker and IMO, he will start with Book coming off the bench. The protocol says so. Book started due to injury. And besides... I'd rather see Book run with Ulis, warren and Len in the second unit. Be kind of like that bench we had back with Dragic and Barbososo that at times outplayed the starters or at least steamrolled the oppositions second units.

I just think the value of Knight will go up when you see what Augustin and Lin made. Whether that makes sense to trade him though is another thing. A three guard rotation with a committed Knight as your 6th man is probably better than any trade. If he is not committed and brings down the team, maybe you look to move him. I am torn on Knight

Chandler though - if Whiteside gets all that cash, Howard gets all that cash - I think there is a market for him to allow some cap flexibility, sign a Cole Aldrich and next year, re-up Len.

Yeah, his value goes up but still probably not worth trading for what we could get for him. Well, maybe worth it to me, but probably not to others around here. He will actually have good value probably after next off season if he plays relatively well this season.

Brandon Knight will wear 11 (his MIL #, formerly Markieff Morris' PHX #) instead of 3.
Dragan Bender: 3.
Marquese Chriss: 0.
Tyler Ulis: 8.

Guess this means we're keeping Knight?

Knight was hanging with the crew in SD. The conspicuous absence was Chandler. Homeboy ain't happy.

The conspicuous absence is Goodwin (and to a lesser extent Len.)

Chandler is hosting the team for a week next month.

Then some other player the month after that but I forgot who it was.

so i'm done comparing Devin Booker to O.J. Mayo, who was just suspended for 2 years for violating the league's anti-drug policy.

never heard of that long a suspension in any major sport, besides A-Rod being blacklisted by the Yankees. (scratch that already: Chris Andersen in '06)

i didn't like OJ coming out of college, but i knew he could play. what a flame out....

My offseason - as of today is this:

--see if there is a market for Chandler - especially after the Whiteside and Mozgov deals

--trade Tucker

--sign Aldrich

--sign David West or Dudley to be your PF

--let Teletovic walk. he will just shoot threes and impede the progress of Bender or Chriss. West or Dudley will help the progress

--Brandon Knight, am not totally sure but if the market is there to move him, move him

Suns will have cash to sign second tier guys to reasonable deals while building Bledsoe, Warren, Booker, Dragan, Chriss and Len.

Well, while I've been debating with you the merits of who would be the better 3 between our 2 rookies, I, to, have been keeping an eye out (no, not THAT one I was talking about yesterday...) on the Heat's moves, and yes, I hope Whiteside actually stays with the Heat, say, on a 3 Yr-Deal, giving them a false sense of 'security'; similar to what Dragic gave them last year. Then in 2017,
Dragic's 'game, along with Whiteside's...and Wade's...plummet's, and along with Bosh retiring...this all leading to the 9th overall lottery selection for us!!!

McD (who i might start referring to as Big Mac) likes Knight. he said "i feel bad because Suns fans haven't seen the real Brandon Knight."

you guys know he had a sports hernia. if you still can't give him the benefit of the doubt, y'all are some ungrateful fans.

the Knight hate got old pretty quick. you know he''s as good as he was in Milwaukee. he was pretty dang good in Milwaukee. you think he just forgot what he was doing?

i guess there is no Suns forum where i won't be mad as all get out.

fwiw, Knight isn't getting traded. too young and too GOOD. so i guess y'all will have to keep moaning about how Booker, who's 10-25% worse, should start and that McD's a sour puss. yup.....until November, when Knight is blowing the doors off......like he did here.

He was actually kicked out of the league entirely. "Dismissed" is what Woj said. He can apply for reinstatement in 2 years but that doesn't guarantee he will be allowed to return.

Has Dallas signed a center? If not, they might give up a protected first for Chandler, or at least a second. If it was a second I'd probably want it to be protected on our side from like 45-60 or something meaning they keep it if it was lower than 45, and it rolls over.

By then with two more draft classes having come in, he wouldn't make a team anyway.

Maybe we could, but we actually kind of need Knight right now with Bogdan no longer around. I'm not comfortable with Goodwin being the backup SG. He should purely be getting 4th guard minutes until that jumper improves.

I have no problem keeping Knight. I was just "rosterbating". Although, if Philly did offer up their pick (unprotected) for Knight, I'd take that in a heartbeat and tank this year as well. Come in next year with two top 5 picks and a ton of cap space and ready to roll. I don't think that's likely but just having some fun.

I love how everyone posts is one great game of the season when people don't like him. He had a couple of other really good games where he got double doubles. So three whole double doubles for him. Scored over 30 one other time though. He's decent about 25% of the time, and really good about 5% of the time. He's only slightly below average as a player right now by most metrics, so maybe he will cross the average mark this season. Hope so!

I can imagine what the media would have said about Len if his Feb/March run was for OKC. Last's year's per was 14 and 12....LOL! And some of you guys are griping about his shooting percentage.....put him on the line with a Hack a' Len and watch him shoot 73%.

Adams, Gobert, TT, and the rest of those "studs" are offensive bums who can't be trusted to be on the court in close games because they can't shoot FT's, pathetic, and that neutralizes their defense when it matters most.

If we told Len to just run around and play D and reb he'd be just as good as those guys, but we told him to go be Shaq or Tim D shooting from the elbow, then get pissed when he isn't and envy guys who shoot well because of dunks and put backs....

:banghead:

This is why I sometimes contemplate exclusively posting on the GB.... His best month still pales in comparison to the impact those 3 have for an entire season

I don't hate the guy, but there are some people put on some serious homer glasses with him. I don't mind Tyson. Bigs will always hold more value and they are roughly the same as overall players. One better at D, and one better at O. But I'll take the defensive center.

Tyson has done nothing for me to be thankful of. His play this year sucked. He loafed up and down the court and clearly didn't give a ****. Yes, he dominated the boards for like a week, but was one of, if not our worst, defender. He can't shoot and kills all spacing.

Yeah, I'm not going to be thankful that we have Tyson. That's ridiculous.

I'd be fine taking the defensive center, but Tyson has shown no ability to do that last year.
