Hopefully this will cause him to suddenly have a world class jump shot a la Rookie of the Year.

The Suns' only true big men are Markieff Morris, Miles Plumlee, Alex Len and Shavlik Randolph, giving Barron a chance to help as a long, face-up power forward.

:o NOOOO, Earl Barron AGAIN noooo!

Meh, as long as we don't have a silly coach that starts him, he would be fine as a 13-15th player. Great hustle with that guy, just don't let him shoot.

I saw we are bringing him into camp on a non-guaranteed deal. Do you know anything about him? I never heard of him until that report.

I think Earl Barron's return solidifies himself in the Ring of Honor among the other former Suns Greats

Man he had to be told his chances were very minimal everywhere else for him to accept the deal here. He has to know, as a guard, there's no room for him at all.

I can't believe this dude is 33 years old. I wonder why he didn't just carve an international career for himself. I realize he wants to make it in the NBA but couldn't he have gotten long term contracts overseas instead?

My understanding is that this should be written in green.

Maybe he watched Goodwin's summer league performance, and thought, hey I couldn't be much worse. :D Or maybe, in a few S&T deals discussed involving Bledsoe, also included Goodwin and/or Green, and we were looking at kids with potential, who we wouldn't have to throw a guaranteed deal to obtain.

I'm not too worried about 13-15 players right now.

You know, that's actually an interesting point about the S&T deals. Maybe they are looking at Goodwin/Green as a potential trade chip, and brought in a low-risk/potential-type of rookie SG to compensate.

Or it could just be what it looks like. Giving a guy a shot. But agree, signing these types probably means very little at this point.

Honestly, I would rather see Zoran get a shot, but I don't know what his deal looks like with Malaga.

Man why didn't we absorb Dudley's contract if it meant getting a first rounder from the Clips?

EDIT: I'm thinking it has to have to very heavy protection on it.

EDIT 2: Nevermind. Had no idea Dudley had 2 more years left. Thought he was an expiring.

Overall though, I really like how McD has been handling things so far. We kept all our draft picks, we kept two to add to the roster, and two stashed for later. Next we fill holes and/or possible holes with the signing of IT and Tolliver. I like how we've stuck to our guns in negotiations.

I am really interested in these camp invite, which seem to stick with the theme.

Super athletic important wing for Florida this past year, who was the #1 team in the country most of last year. He was a senior, but as a senior he was a stud. He shot over 60% as a junior and senior and his very good at attacking the basket. He plays a bit like Bledsoe in some ways.
