I see it as the opposite. this was an "emergency meeting" if you will. Clearly the suns made a good impression.
come on man use some common sense. I'm sure the suns are doing everything they can to land him including trying to meet with him again. If he chooses the spurs it won't be for lack of effort. We signed a 50 million dollar recruiter in chandler for Christ sakes. It's been a full court press. They aren't losing him because they wouldnt spring for air fair to LA and the cost of a dinner.sunsfever68 wrote:All I will say is if we lose out to the Spurs and the reason that sold LMA was that 2nd meeting with Pop I'll be very disappointed we didn't do everything we could to secure him.
I feel good about our chances, but would've felt even better had we had a 2nd meeting to ensure him he's making the right decision.

just to play devils advocate if lma wants the 2 yr deal with the opt out next summer he might not give a **** what the future holds. Try to win one next year and then go to who ever he wants next summer for 30mil + a year. Hell maybe even the suns after we prove how good the Bledsoe knight combo worksSunsdeuce wrote:Look Pops can try to church up San antonio as (long term) much as he wants but any outsider knows that the Spurs are VERY close to rebuild mood. Two years max is what the Spurs have.

Grasping at straws, but does that mean he's meeting with us?
Also, it's not showing on here, but the #LAtoPHX is bolded on the original tweet.
