Tbh I'm glad our meeting went well but unless we see him again after this past Spurs meeting its ova. Pop will close if it's the last visit.

I see it as the opposite. this was an "emergency meeting" if you will. Clearly the suns made a good impression.

Bingo. If the Spurs had it in the bag like many of their "insiders" said, they wouldn't have needed a second meeting.

I'd be so happy if we met with him again.

I feel good about our chances, but would've felt even better had we had a 2nd meeting to ensure him he's making the right decision.
come on man use some common sense. I'm sure the suns are doing everything they can to land him including trying to meet with him again. If he chooses the spurs it won't be for lack of effort. We signed a 50 million dollar recruiter in chandler for Christ sakes. It's been a full court press. They aren't losing him because they wouldnt spring for air fair to LA and the cost of a dinner.

I'm surprisingly not worried about Pop meeting for a second time. I feel like he is obviously not sold on what SA has planned for the long term, I imagine Pop is trying to tell him that there will be a giant hole left by Duncan's retirement. Probably trying to convince him that he could continue the legacy and take up the mantle once Duncan retires. McDonough is not a GM who sits on his hands, if he feels like we're losing LMA then I'm sure he'd do everything in his power to correct it.

I can almost guarantee someone from the Suns is in CONSTANT contact with LMA. Someone is texting him. Don't know who but someone is.

Goodness I've thought about this second meeting with the Spurs way too much. I'm honestly jealous. Haha but I guess there's this: Spurs impress in their first meeting, LMA says he's leaning toward them. Suns come out of nowhere and knock his socks off and all of a sudden he has us tied with the Spurs which scares Spurs and forces them to ask for the second meeting. All reliable sources (Woj, ray ray, Gambo) have said today that we are neck and neck with the Spurs (even with the Spurs second meeting). Therefore, McD didn't feel as if we needed a second meeting because if he did, and asked for one, but LMA said no, we would not still be considered co-front runners with the Spurs. Okay. That was mostly to calm me down. C'mon LaMarcus. We all want you here!

Look Pops can try to church up San antonio as (long term) much as he wants but any outsider knows that the Spurs are VERY close to rebuild mood. Two years max is what the Spurs have.

I don't even think Pop will coach 4 more years. Everything currently good about the Spurs will be extinct in 3 years.

just to play devils advocate if lma wants the 2 yr deal with the opt out next summer he might not give a **** what the future holds. Try to win one next year and then go to who ever he wants next summer for 30mil + a year. Hell maybe even the suns after we prove how good the Bledsoe knight combo works ;)

Trying to make out what Pop is telling LMA as they are walking in... sounds like...

"...on your body so much, you don't want to play the 4."

What does it sound like to everyone else?

Grasping at straws, but does that mean he's meeting with us?

Also, it's not showing on here, but the #LAtoPHX is bolded on the original tweet.

Well.... that's unfortunate. I hate free agency.

Yeah I hear what your saying but there is a flip side to what your saying. That long term security is nice, especially going into your 30s. Say he does a 2 year deal. Basically putting him into Tyson chandler age territory and the possibility of injury (age increases likeliness) then your pay goes down (see granger).

I'm sure all this is weighing on him.

He's a former front office guy for the Nets. Can we stop getting this wrong on here now?

Use cap space means no exceptions except for the tiny "room" one. K, cool.

Have you seen that new hottie Duncan is tapping? Dude has 15 good seasons left at least. He's like Kareem.
