Another ratings confirmed:
Booker 87
Ariza 78
Jackson 77

Oh, looks like you just updated. I was just going to post this full list which still just had some of last year's ratings, where Booker was
86, TJ was 81, JJ was 78 and Ariza was 77.

Nice to see they are giving Warren some more respect than many seem to.

Why in the world did we just trade Chriss and Knight for Ryan Anderson? Can someone please explain?

We traded Knight AND got a $20 mil. expiring stretch 4 that just so happens to shoot 40% from 3 in his career?

Wow need a minute to process this one. I do like Melton and was not looking forward to seeing knight play the pg this year..... But that Anderson contact is even worse than knight and eats room next summer. Chriss could end up ok but I think they just wanted him away from this team.

McDs two most costly trade additions gone in one fell swoop.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

You are right. Basically they lost 6m of cap space next summer. They have a bunch of young guards. This might lead to another move. Okobo Melton Shaq- all young guards. Need another move

Chriss must be a knucklehead too basically dump for nothing.

I guess it’s fine but this seems like a backward move

According to Hoopshype, Ryan Anderson expires the same year as Knight does.

If he's expiring this trade makes sense - but otherwise we basically just traded for the worst contract in the league (aside from Noah) and give up a rookie contract in the process.

Don't like this move at all

Anderson brings more value than Knight. Knight is awful and I would have traded him for the Rockets washing machine.

Seriously what the heck? Rockets actually get better with this trade. A lot better. Chriss and Knight are gonna be fairly good role players for them I feel.

Can't see what this does for the suns but okay

General board seems to be salivating over De'Anthony Melton.

I don't know anything about this guy, other than that we could have easily drafted him in the second round ourselves I guess.

His summer league highlights look impressive though - anyone here know more about the guy than his online draft profile?

https://www.thestepien.com/deanthony-melton/

In (very basic) summary of his draft profile:
Strenghts:
- plus defender both on and off the ball
- good length (8 foot wingspan)
- good court vision
- likes to push in transition

Weakness:
- shot needs work (although his mechanics look good in that summer league video - so I guess he's been working on his shot)
- lacks explosiveness

The Suns are hopeful that Shaq Harrison could take a bigger role at point guard this season.

All of a sudden Avery Bradley at PG doesn't sound so bad...

Wish there was a way we could make a play for McCollum... Or a healthy Beverly...

Watch us trade for Goran though.

My bad, thought he was expiring after this season, but it's after next. Doesn't take away from the fact that Brandon Knight sucks and he's gone now.

Melton has ridiculous defensive upside. Like best guard defender in the league potential. His question has always been shooting but if it improves then he is the ideal fit next to Booker. He can easily guard most 2s at 6’3 with a 6’8 wingspan. There is no way he slips into the second round if he hadn’t sat out the entire year due to fbi investigations about impermissible benefits. Between Shaq, Melton, Ariza, Bridges, and Jackson the Suns will have lockdown defenders all over the floor.

Ryan Anderson is one of the absolute best shooters in the league. Yes he is overpaid but he is still elite at spacing the floor, and unlike Knight he compliments Booker well.

We doubled down on defense and three point shooting with this trade, and added two guys who will fit perfect next to our young star. I think we got the two best players in this deal, but we probably have something else lined up too. TJ for a veteran point guard maybe?

I see Jackson being moved for a veteran PG. Maybe him and Chandler for Goran.

Jackson seemed really full of himself in Summer league while jacking up brick after brick. I really liked his potential when we drafted him but if he hasn't been working on his shot this summer I would move him now. We have a lot of legit shooters and really do not need him or Chandler.

We do need a legit point guard and Goran has a history with Igor. I actually think we could contend for a playoff spot with Goran's addition. Our defense should be better and we are going to have shooters everywhere.

I don't think Miami would want Jackson...they have Winslow who is very similar but a better defender and 3 pt shooter.
