What does that mean for 4? You mean moving up FROM 13?

I think Len is a better defender than you give him credit for. A few years ago, he was showing incredible defensive potential and was being compared to the likes of Gobert. Last year he did take a step backwards, however, I think this was a result of being forced to play as the number one scoring option. He clearly doesn't have great natural instincts on the offensive end, but as long as he can play defense and rebound, and occasionally hit the 15 ft jumper, he's going to be very serviceable big for a long time. Worst case scenario, I see him being a better version of Robin Lopez -- while certainly not a all-star, but a quality starting big nonehtheless. He's still only 23.

Philly is trying to set Boston up o take Dunn because they knew they were **** and would try to strong-arm them for number #3, so they let it leaked they wanted Dunn and all the while the plan is Murray and trading Okafor for the number 4. Think about it, Dunn is ball dominant and having the ball in his hands in Simmons strength, which Murray would complement well. Right?

Philly needs a PG and Dunn is the best one, but their spacing is going to be terrible with Dunn, Simmons, Noel, Embiid or Okafor...Covington is like their only shooter and Stauskas if he ever gets any better.

I knew we had serious interest in Dejuante Murray. Such a McD player, pretty much a better version of Archie with PG skills.

I +1'd you, but I still disagree with your take on Len. Give him a season under Watson; he showed a lot of 'improvement' from Feb through APR, you have to at least recognize that. Len isn't a poor defender; he can actually be pretty darn impressive in stretches. He just needs another year under Watson/Chandler. I think he s going to break out next season--I honestly do.

Its okay, but not enough shooting. Mine is better 8-)

i disagree. Hield and Booker is a defensive black hole. also, i don't think OKC would take Knight.....i don't think so. in fact, i don't know if we would give him up.

That lineup has two SERIOUSLY declining bigs, a SF who shot like 32% in the finals and a PG who can't make a decision and averages like 4 assists and 3 turnovers, over dribbles and jacks up long 2s. Or are you just thinking a MASSIVE four year tank or something?

ridiculous. as a shot blocker alone, never mind his ability to stretch the floor and ability as a roll man, he's one of the best role players in the league. he could be more than that if we asked him to be.

Look at his per game blocks the last 5 years...if you don't want to look at the link...3.7 to 3 to 2.7 to 2.4 to 1.9. His 3 pt% from 38.3%, 37.6% to 32.6%. His overall fg% from 57% to 53% to 47%. Something's not right with him. Still rather have him than most PFs we could get, and more than Barnes, but he's probably going to keep declining...

Out of Ingram and Simmons, there are many players with similar potential value.
That means that, in 3-4-5 years time we will see that many players taken later in this draft will be playing better (so, being better players) than many players selected before.
Let's hope that we select one of the good ones and hit the jackpot this year again.

I do not understand why a soccer player from UK is representing us on draft night.

You know you have to score, right?

Both lineups win less than 30 games so you guys are arguing over 5th pick or 6th pick in next year's draft with those lineups.

WalterFootball has us taking:

#4--Chriss
#13--Ellenson
#28--Demetrius Jackson
#34--Petr Cornelie

WOW!! If that happens, I'd be EXTREMELY pleased.

Chriss -- meh, seems to be the 'pick D'jour', but then to have Ellenson slide to 13, D. Jackson down to 28, and Cornelie as a draft'n'stash would be ideal.

Ibaka had a worse year than I thought.

but his role changed. Kanter and Adams did more rebounding. i imagine he wasn't that dialed in on offense. his focus was probably just playing on ball defense

i have no reason to think his numbers would be the same here as they are in OKC. two very, very differently structured teams

I don't understand why they haven't already decided who they're going to pick instead of flipping back and forth at the last minute. :-?

Return to Phoenix Suns
