Not unless Okur is going to suit up. You can't expect a guy to play AND be the big man coach at the same time. Mentor? Yes. Coach. No. Takes too much time.

Can't blame TJ for feeling like an underdog. He didn't even get a mention in a few articles addressing the Suns young talent. Booker is now having a hard time finding enough room on his bandwagon and the Suns rookies all got praise for summer league play.

I wouldn't be surprised if TJ averaged more points then Booker this year. Seriously.

I don't know about every year but we certainly heard it 13 months ago from both Ryan and Tyson. And I think Len would have had a pretty good season if it hadn't been for the early injury. I expect great things from him this year (great by his standards). I believe we'll only play him at center (where he belongs) and he'll be an above average defender along with giving us double digit scoring most nights. He won't dominate his position but I see no reason that he can't be in the upper half of starting centers, assuming he stays healthy. And with Chandler backing him up, we should have one of the better center rotations in the league.

Len just needs decent opportunities to play as the lone C. The twin tower line up with Tyson and Len had some bright spots but also considerable downsides. Len's efficiency dropped down to the point where his FG% is no better than a bad shooting guard, his defense went in the reverse direction to the progress he's made and while you could certainly put a lot of blame on the injuries, I think a huge factor is the clogged paint and being forced to play further away from the basket. If he's going to be a surprise this year, he absolutely needs to have good minutes and also not share floor time with Tyson. Hopefully playing with our new stretch 4 would do wonders for Len's game.

A healthy Bled changes everything. He is our only good slasher. He made Miles Plumlee look like a god in the 48 win year. Alex and Bled just need to stay healthy and everything will work out fine.

I still think the Suns need to trade Knight. Booker, Bledsoe, Knight, Barbosa, Ulis, Goodwin, and Jenkins is too many guards. Knight will want starters minutes and everyone knows that Booker is the man now. Dudley even said it recently on the radio that Booker is the next star for the Suns. I also have no interest in seeing the Suns go with a small ball lineup ever again and I emphatically do not want to see a lineup of Bledsoe, Knight, and Booker together. That would be awful defensively.

Warren, Dudley, Tucker, Bender, and Chriss should be the forwards while Len, Chandler, and Williams are the centers. Five forwards and three centers that are all skilled enough to contribute means you do not need to have seven guards for only two spots.

The Vertical reported today that Rudy Gay informed the Kings he is going to opt-out and it is unlikely he will consider re-signing with them. I think the Suns should get in on that as part of a three-way trade. Knight and possibly Tucker to the Kings, Gay to some team (76ers?), and the Suns get draft picks. Maybe they can get the Lakers pick back from the 76ers, who knows. The point is that alleviating the logjam at the guard spot should help team chemistry and solidify that the dual point guard experiment is finally over and the Suns can move ahead with the young guys completely.
