At some point Ishbia will realize picks are not candies to give out to kids right.

Unless we're getting an absolute treasure trove of picks, I don't see the point at all

The point is that Ishbia and Thomas ( the little voice in his compulsive head) love the Detroit/ Michigan connection over anything else. And the other point is that they really don't care about the fanbase or our competitive outcome when it comes to building a Michigan " Boys Club."

Ishbia brought the SUNS as a target for superstars (Aging?).
I believe this was the plan from the beginning - to make Phoenix an attractive destination with an owner who gives a crazy amount of money.

Of course, the NBA is not working like that, and selling all your future to take whoever superstar could be available randomly, usually leads to ruined franchises for years.

Not having a GM with balls in such situations is a huge problem as well.

Now, when he sees that the experiment with Durant didn`t work, he will try to flip him for Butler and try again next year.
Until next time...

Dark, dark years coming for our fanbase.

Not sure if this has been commented, but Nurkic + 1FRP to the Wizards is possible and makes sense.

Gambo says that we aren't interested in Valanciunas so he probably goes to a third team?

Not done but possible but would only be tied to a bigger trade. Suns would have to give up a pick on this so it would be part of a bigger deal. Suns not really interested in Jonas.

Looking at salaries that trade would give us two players under contract for next year.

Bey has 2 years left on his contract at $6M per year.

Valanciunas $10M for next year. 2026/27 is non guaranteed at $10M.

Bey could be similar to Nassir Little...he is young yet and has an strong body to play some SF/PF BUT has had a big time injury. I liked him pre-injury. Not sure about his future in the league but at last he doesn't have a high salary.

We can send Valanciunas to a third team. One option are the Jazz and we would get PJ Tucker who is an expiring contract, but if we want a C back we would need to study the market to get someone like Olynyk or Drummond.

Draymond Green? That guy should be in **** prison, not an NBA roster.

That guy would easily be the most unlikable travesty of a player this roster has ever had.

Good **** grief.

I was thinking - why not call Cleveland and ask for Garland, Okoro, and LeVert + a pick for KD?

The Warriors package for KD is garbage. If I was Ishbia I would not accept it. Those two Blazers losses were not good but Blazers just beat the Pacers and blew them out. They are playing well right now.

I want Butler on this team if it costs us Beal but not if we have to give up Durant.

Last thing Cleveland wants is to ruin their team chemistry, They have the best record in the league why trade Garland for an aging KD?

The Blazers has won 9 of their last 10 games. They destroyed a healthy Pacers team last night. We played both games against them at the road and the last one we lost in OT.

I doubt KD is traded. We are gonna trade Nurkic+FRP for sure and hopefully we get a rotation player back for that package.

I would love too get Jimmy but that Beal's NTC is a trade killer. We will see if we can find a way to do it in the next 24 hours.

I guess we'll see in next day or so if Ishbia has learned anything - replace one of "Big 3" with Butler, no youth/ picks coming back, then no. Otherwise there is still a bit of hope for the future. Interesting next 24 hours.

KD is a loser without joining the Warriors he’d be stuck at zero rings. He’s soft as charmin toilet paper. He’ll never motivate players don’t know many top 10-15 players of all time who are as soft as KD. Plus he never learned how to dribble a basketball or make a pass, shooting is his only strength. He practice shooting day in and out that’s why he’s one of the best shooters ever, but everything else I don’t enjoy about his game. Ishbia is a moron for trading trading our young core & picks for this softy. Dark days are ahead for this team. Our new owner isn’t magically going to go away this chit will continue for next 15-20 years please be prepared.

Ishbia is not changing course a week after he traded our last chance of a top 2 pick for 7 years

He can possibly get what he wants plus Kuminga and a pick to appease

You don’t trade Durant for Butler

You get younger and picks

I don't care what the deal is. We have to do something major this deadline to keep me even remotely interested in continuing to watch this season

Hoping for Jimmy or ideally going nuclear and trading everything to get our picks back. But that's not going to happen well probably end up just with a last minute Nurk salary dump while giving away another pick.

And 2 years ago everyone was so excited....
I miss the twins. Sus would have been a better team with a better future, all their picks. All that was needed were some decent role plaers for bench depth and a starting PG to replace CP.

Why does Butler want to come here? Will/would he edit his desire to be here once he knows Durant won't be here? I don't get why he would want to come to a team that has no bigs who can get an offensive rebound or shoot.

I could see us doing something totally crazy like getting Draymond in a Suns uniform or doing absolutely nothing. What an unpredictable mess.
