I was thinking. If you are LeBron, who do you think is a better foursome?

Him and Howard, Harden, Parsons

Him and Dragic, Bledsoe, Melo

I just put Melo in there for now...wasn't sure who else to put there. But if Melo is out of the picture, who else could we get (in free agency) that would be better than that Houston group? I mean, playing with a rim protector and rebounder like Howard has to be pretty huge doesn't it?

Not trying to burst any bubbles....just thinking about it from his perspective. Of course his agent being Bledsoe's could help with us.

Is Houston making the same pitch to Lebron as they did with Melo? I would think, just my personal opinion, if the Rockets made a sales pitch to Melo first, and then Lebron later, I'd be offended if I was Lebron as he is definitely the better player.

Well, LeBron's agent was supposed to sit down with us, Houston and Dallas (I thought on Tuesday morning) sometime this week. But I think they were told LeBron is waiting and going to make his decision later. I think pitches have been made to the agent, but I don't know.

Melo had meeting set up early...like Chicago on Tuesday and then Houston and Dallas today. Those were set up right when free agency started. I think everyone tried to meet with LeBron right away but he told everyone his agent would take the meetings.

Like i said, take what you want from it. I was also told that someone with an Indy source said that right after the finals ended, Paul George (or someone in his group) reached out to the Suns and told them he (Paul George) wanted the suns to trade for him.

It could be a three team deal. Not that I would like it but....
Suns get-
Jeff Green
1st round pick

Pacers get-
Rajon Rondo

Celtics get-
Goran Dragic
Lance Stephenson

That would tarnish the Suns reputation and we would lose customers in free agency I think...

I would not touch that trade with a 10-foot pole.

Qwigglez wrote:Also just thought of this... but wasn't the original report that the Suns were willing to give Lebron and Melo/Bosh a max deal? So lets say Lebron decides on Phoenix, and Bosh follows, and we only pay him 15mil the first season, what does our salary look like?
Lebron-22mil
Bosh-15mil
Bledsoe-13mil

For our potential big three.
Dragic would command maybe 12mil a year? Though I doubt he wants to stay with this circus around, but I would hope he does.

For Melo and LBJ - needed 43m I believe as the Suns were at 33m (if they don't sign Frye, Tucker, maybe trade Ennis) so they needed another $10

Well if Bosh is $6m - trading the Morris twins would get er' done

Thought this was interesting...

Yep. Knew there must be stats out there to support it. My biggest beef with the MoBros is their selfish play. And if you exclude passes to each other, you might exclude about half their passes, and maybe 2/3 of their assists.

Of course, I know I'll look the other way when TJ Warren puts up similar stats. I guess it bothers me with the MoBros in part because so much of it is high-post action, which is a great spot from which to rack up assists. Warren will get a lot his points by working off the ball. But now I'm just rambling.

Oh. Gerald's on there too. Huh.

There are lies, damn lies and statistics. This is one of those "statistics" that fall into that category. It is worthless.

We aren't trading Goran. Look at his salary and output compared to Bradley, Livingston, and Miles?!! Goran is the steal of the NBA right now, I'd demand a KING's randsom for him. I can see the Wolves jumping all over him. Goran played well with Bledsoe, he can play well with Rubio.

Maybe James wants Love instead of Melo. Melo and James are redundant if you include Bledsoe and especially Goran. Goran out Melo in. That would leave room for another BIG Free agent.

I had been thinking the same thing. I may be wrong, but if Houston offered LeBron the Max, I don't think they'd be able to keep Parsons. He is a RFA, and judging by how many players are already getting overpaid, I think he will be overpaid too. That being said, Harden/Howard/LeBron does seem formidable; but for some reason, I just don't see LeBron getting excited to play with Howard (Kobe could barely stand playing with him). Now, if Melo doesn't immediately sign with Chicago or something, he'll still be a FA when LeBron decides where he's going. If LBJ picks PHX, obviously Melo to the Suns becomes more likely. I think LeBron can see that Goran/Bledsoe/Himself/Melo is a better team than Howard/no-defense-Harden/Himself. That, and we'd still have some money (I think) to spend (MLE or something?)

They can keep Parsons regardless just like we can keep Bledsoe regardless because we sign the free agents first and then match or give contracts later to those guys..their small cap holds are the only thing on the cap right now.

Houston's problem is getting rid of everyone else on their roster first other than Harden and Howard.

Came across this
http://www.nj.com/knicks/index.ssf/2014 ... _says.html

Basically Melo wants a max deal and the Bulls can't offer it. I don't think the Rockets can either unless they drop Lin and perhaps an Eastern Conference team will help facilitate that. Mavs definitely can, but they need a lot of help.
If Lebron is truly interested in the Suns, and gets Melo on board, and they both sign max contracts. Look out!

That bargain salary ain't nearly as valuable considering we'll have to re-up him to $12 mil/per next season.

I'm jonesing for my daily fix of Ray Ray's fireside chat. We've had two straight days of Phoenix's odds improving in regards to landing 'Bron "Bron, let's make it three!

Reports are saying that the 76ers are the team that would take Lin from Houston and use him at the SG spot.

That would be.... just phenomenal. I would trade everyone on our roster excluding Bledsoe/Len to take Paul George. :)

Lol I really wasn't advocating that deal, I was just saying... it makes the most sense, financially. Geez. Like I would trade Dragic for just anyone.

Take it with a grain of salt. I dont see how they would give up on George this early, even if he did ask to be traded.

I was going to add to my comment that the only player on either team I would consider would be Paul George and he is likely unattainable.

It is for this year! He can play on your team and help you out big time, then next year you can extended him and keep the guys you have and go over the cap if you like. This is the only year you can do that with Goran; next year it becomes more difficult to do that.
