Obviously he doesn't really fit with our style of play. But he does seem to fit with our tendency to pick up high character players. It might not be a bad idea for two reasons - first, because contrary to popular belief, we may not have a chance at a better big next year, and second, if the cap goes up considerably in two years, it might not be overpaying.

But his D. It really, really sucks. Really.

If the Suns did offer Monroe a contract I think it would be more likely we do a S&T where Plumlee is involved. I don't think Bledsoe cares so much about the money that he would be willing to go to Detroit and play. Has there ever been a trade where teams traded players who were both restricted free agents?

It isn't fact, but it's pretty widely agree that the new TV deal will be much more lucrative than the current one, causing the cap to increase as a result of increased league revenues.

Also, people saying Monroe doesn't run isn't entirely true. According to draftexpress's free agency video of him he runs quite frequently on fast breaks.

People change JD. The NBA tests up to four times a year randomly. You have to get caught three times with marijuana in your system, and then it's a five game suspension. The results remain secret up until that point. The Players union bargained for that leniency because it is estimated over half the players puff. The problem is not the usage, the problem is the law/rule.

Sanders has been mired in Milwaukee, on a **** team, with a revolving door of coaches staff and players. I am not saying he is a reformed Saint, but given a promising opportunity with the right direction from the front office and coaching staff the kid could play some ball.

Does not have anything to do with Sanders. The Suns do not want these types of low character individuals. And it isn't just the marijuana, it is the fights, the animal abuse, etc….

I don't care if they can change, I just do not think the Suns would bring another one of these guys onto this team.

I read somewhere that his second year was not guaranteed. Plus, it is a two year deal - how much can they front load it. The team option with a nominal guarantee in year 2 makes sense. Like the Suns did with Tolliver. Only 400k in year 2 is guaranteed.

Monroe - interesting

Would the Pistons accept a sign and trade - Plumlee (or Len), Morris twins - possibly going back. Granted, they have Drummond so why do they need Len; Josh is better at the 4, so why do they need the Morris.

Monroe is basically a Carlos Boozer with no jump-shot. He isn't worth more than $10M per year. I'd rather have Bledsoe for one year on QO than Monroe on a multi-year 8-digit contract.

Yeah he left dogs out in the brutal Milwaukee winter, tied up and without shelter. They had to be rescued. As a lover and owner of dogs, he would be one person I could not root for in a Suns Uni.
