Also gotta love the idea of signing Amare now.

As far as I am concerned that was our championship run, now we are starting over. If other people here feel different, that's on them.
Just give it a few more years and we can draft our own hometown hero(s).

DeAndre Ayton is also a 5 star recruit and is currently ranked as the #1 Sophmore C in the nation. He goes to Hillcrest Hoops Prep Academy in Phoenix with Bagley.

Sure, the got Durant, but they also lost Barnes/Bogut/Barbosa/Rush/Ezeli/Clark. I guess it doesnt matter when the ring chasers are starting to come out the woodwork like West (Rumored Ray Allen, Jermain O'Neal, David Lee, Kendrick Perkins, Mario Chalmers).
Ehhhh Barnes totally regressed in the playoffs. Bogut was inconsistent as hell. Ezeli barely played. Rush and Clark were garbage men essentially. LB on the other hand, was the only one that thrived in the playoffs. The guy averaged .58FG% in the playoffs!

well they kinda got durant instead of barnes, zaza and west instead of bogut and ezeli and chalmers and allen will probably join them.

Woj: Barbs deal includes a team option on the second year.

This is LB doing us a favor. I think he's worth more than the $4m he'll get paid next year and to top it off hes giving us the option to decide his future after Year 1 which is pretty generous.
Happy to see him back with the team he started with.

I'd be surprised at Bledsoe unless another PG was coming back. I think without Bledsoe, we would be the worst team in the league, unless Knight somehow decided to start passing quickly.

Re: The 2016 Offseason Thread
Any GM can put together players 5-15 on a roster, McDonough's put together a good bench 2-3 times already.
Boston / Miami / Cleveland / GSW had junk apart from their big 3 or 4, and then filled the rest no problems.

I think that's the idea actually. Tank for a loaded draft. D'lo is the only guy I want traded for him. We better hold on to those Miami picks though.

Re: The 2016 Offseason Thread
I don't think we tank when we have 4 over 30's as part of the rotation.
I expect similar themes as previous years where the veterens get trusted with the start to try make playoffs, then we start making calls on strategy around new year.

I don't think our plan is to tank but I also don't think all 4 of those over 30's are part of our plan either.

Re: The 2016 Offseason Thread
Actually now that I think about it, Bosa is probably just there to fullfill the role we wanted Bogdan to play. I really want Amare now so he can mentor Chriss.

Probably would beat our starters, tbh. Not sure what that tell us tho

It tells us you are either ridiculous or angry.
Definitely not angry (love the signings of Dudley and LB) and I don't think it's ridiculous to think that 2nd group would probably outscore our first unit.
Not sure what crawled up your ass though. Sorry if sharing my opinion offended you.

The problem is I don't think he has much trade value with all his knee problems and missing half of two of the last three seasons. I don't think we can rely on another team hoping he will remain healthy enough to give up good value so we have to have that hope.
If we could get D'Lo I'd do it of course.

So happy to see the blur back! Is Lou Amundson still playing lol? I'd love to bring back as many players as possible from that legendary '09-10 team to fill roster spots (except that crybaby Dragic).

Definitely. He can teach Chriss how to rebound and play defense.

Re: The 2016 Offseason Thread
Amare mentoring Chriss would be the worst thing ever.
A non rebounding/no defense player with with a low basketball IQ teaching a rookie who needs to improve his defense and rebounding and BBIQ
It would be like asking Magic Johnson to mentor Charlie Sheen. They both screwed a ton of chicks and both ended up with AIDS. LOL.
