you got to read the text bro "name me players over 7'0 tall that have had long healthy star careers, I cant think of any."

That extra three inches in terms of history makes all the difference in the world...

You keep saying 7'0 tall...here's a bunch http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1056834-nba-rankings-the-best-7-footers-of-all-time - and that doesn't include Durant or dirk...this is not a good argument you're pushing

Here is a list for you of players 7'3 and taller its stellar... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_players_in_National_Basketball_Association_history

We have the best medical staff in the world. I don't consider KP an huge injury risk at all. It is something to consider but to say he's a huge risk would need to imply he's already had major injuries in the past. At this point, he's still a very young player who will get better at moving with his 7'3 body, he'll have a better understanding on how to keep himself from getting hurt and again, we have the best medical staff in the world who are have world class expertise in pre-injury maintenance.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, you can't put KP in the same category of 7+ footers of the past. KP doesn't bang in the post like the big men of the past, he uses bball IQ and his length more than pure athleticism and medical understanding of body and maintenance has advanced so much just in the last decade alone. Also KP isn't built like many of the gaint big men of old. He's not 7'3 and carrying around 280+lbs. Dirk would be the closest comparison to him with a similar style and at 7", 240ish lbs and he's still relatively healthy as a near 40yo.

What you're talking about would be valid if we're talking about a 29-30 year old KP with consistent injury-plagued seasons.

Which is pretty freaking irrelevant. Not a single one of those guys had the athleticism of Porzingis. Sabonis was probably closest to his skillset and if the Suns got themselves a Sabonis I'd be absolutely psyched.

I always see these arguments as pointless. Lumping one player in with a bunch of completely different players based on one share characteristic is usually futile. The vast majority of the guys on that list were absolute stiffs that didn't make it because they were limited in ability, not due to injury.

But if we cant base information off of history what should we base it off, you are telling me he is literally the 1st person in the entire world of his size to do all of these things. If so then you have literally what will be the one of the top 10 players to ever play in the NBA, I think that is a stretch.

I am saying that you judge players based on their individual talent, skills and physical ability. That list is largely irrelevant because nearly every single one of those guys was a stiff with limited or non-existent athleticism and certainly not the skillset of a Porzingis. They simply aren't relevant to him.

Sabonis is the closest in terms of the skillset and athleticism that Porzingis possesses and he played late into his NBA career after having played a ton of basketball internationally early on in his career. By the time he got to the NBA he was winding down physically and he was still a highly effective player for the Blazers.

I think for Porzingis it is going to be crucial to build some strength in his lower body and to keep his weight down which will help ease the stress on his knees. I have no problem trusting that this wonderful Suns medical staff will be able to address any issues that may come up.

If anything we won't see any activity until tomorrow night dependent on if Jackson is still there at #4. The Knicks are high on him and he's the one they're after. They'd jump the gun looking to complete a deal anytime sooner for all we know Ainge could be throwing up a smoke screen that Tatum is their guy and swipe Jackson instead. At that point either deal's off or Boston swings a deal with NY instead to nab Kris sending JJ their way.

LAL had to attach DAngelo to dump Moz. That sets the market value for dumping bad contracts.

DAngelo doesnt have Porzingis' value, but the difference shouldnt be #4, Bender AND Bled for NYK for dump Noah as well.

That being said, I am salivating over A Booker/Porzingis and Chriss core

I also feel like the one thing we are missing here the chemistry this young core has, those guys talk about it all the time and how much they like each other and play for each other, and breaking up that chemistry we have seen what not having that can do to a team. I just dont think that is something you can not consider when making a trade especially a trade that gets you nowhere close winning playoff games in the next couple of years they are still going to lose a lot of game KP or no KP

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Lakers and Boston probably can't match Bledsoe-Chriss as players in a top 4 pick package.

If we're giving up Chriss or Bender I keep the Miami picks

I wonder if Isola knows anything. In most NBA circles, Bender has more value than Chriss, and not by only a little, but the weird thing is it seems NY and Phx both like Chriss more.

I would throw either into the trade but Bender complements KP so much more since he can switch onto the perimeter and is a good defender and passer, while KP can't guard 3s. You play Chriss and Bender you're screwed on switches.

I'd rather not trade either though. But for roster purposes and upside, it certainly makes more sense to keep Bender over Chriss.

Are Lakers in this thing now? I was wondering why they were not in...with the 2nd pick and they could trade Ingram and Randle.

The better strategy, if we trade for the Zinger, is to try to add another big piece in free agency. I would want nothing to do with Noah.

Griffin, Paul, Millsap, Lowry, Hayward, Gallinari, Ibaka...

Bender going back to NYK for KP could be a blood bath. The tall-white-euro-replacement would be under some serious scrutiny.

Or he could be better than Porzingis, and the Suns become a laughing stock.

If we aint taking Isaac, I don't care about the 4th pick all that much. Would rather get Zingy and hopefully be able to get back in the later lotto.

Of course none of us want Noah. That's the only real reason we have a leg up on this trade.
