There is no value for Ayton, period.... He's OVERPAID. Don't act like he's some all star calibre player

Suns don't need an athletic big. They need an actual big up who can be a present in the paint, like posting up and grabbing boards...

Suns have enough scorers and don't need the big to score.

This is the exact reason Bogut worked out for the Warriors

Talk to me a few weeks into the season when Nurk gets constantly hunted by other teams

Hope I'm wrong but injuries have made him.a shell of what he was
You've very quickly become borderline annoying.

Ayton fans will never get it. No one really wanted to sign him to the max, no one really wanted to give up any value for him. Truth is a hard pill to swallow I guess.

Some people will never realize and understand why only Indiana tried to sign him and never actually talk with the Suns about a S&T if they really wanted him on the roster.

So it's ok for you to talk your crap about Ayton but I point out short comings of Nurk and your feelings are hurt now.

Oregon is making you soft.

In the playoffs is where the "hunting" could become an issue.

The X factor though is will he be rejuvenated now that he's not wasting away in Portland? Hoping they can get him to slim up a little as the season progresses as that could help him tremendously. I think the Suns overall team length is also going help cover up some of his deficiencies.

Regardless, at least on offense the guy isn't an island. This dude can pass and step out for threes. The Suns ain't trying to be a defensive juggernaut - even though I know they hired Vogel as the coach. It's pretty clear offense is the focus when you have a big three like KD, Book, and Beal.

Like I said hope I'm wrong but injuries to dudes legs and feet have taken there toll, not ideal for a big heading into his 30s. But we shall see.

Ayton reminds me of "Vernon Littelfield" from Ballers.

-Gentle giant
-Not super motivated
-Kind of a dumbass
-Never lived up to potential
-Waste of talent
-Easily distracted

Then.... you....keep....him.

Giving him away for bum like Nurk and much less paying for the honor is stupid. Something 1 of the haters would do here.

It was a silly move.

The cook (Vogel) is ready to create a stew and the ingredients (players) are all ready for the pot. One ingredient (Ayton) is poisonous. You throw it out instead of messing up the whole thing right from the start.

It was the right move 100%

As it was with Ayton, match ups will dictate effective minutes. We have a platoon at C that will sort itself out. We will be hunting as much or more than be hunted. Play to our strengths and we will be formidable. This is a deep team, with some serious fire power.

See ya DA…. Good luck. Too bad you did not reach your elusive potential here… if rings were more important than necklaces, you would have enthusiastically bought in and had a great chance at one you cant buy.

the only reason they kept him in the first place was so that an asset didn’t walk out the door with nothing to show. I already said before the trade happened I wouldn’t have made a trade for nurk unless we got back a young good piece that was under contract AND/OR a couple of picks ontop of if nurk could stay healthy. And then it happpend exactly like that. I like Grayson Allen, I like a ham sammich more than I like watching DA play for the suns so yea I didn’t mind the trade. Do I wish we could have gotten Sabonis or Kat instead? Sure, but I’m not In lala land about what Aytons true value is either.

Did you guys see the screen shot someone took of DA playing on 2k an hour after the trade was announced with a blazer jersey on his character. I couldn’t dream up a better ending to this saga. A microcosm of the entire Ayton experience in one video game screen shot. What a doofus.

What are the realistic thoughts on Nassir Little? I expect next to no contribution this season but given most of our wing rotation will be out the door next year I can see him as a possible starting 3 the following season if he makes strides. A better Okogie on a cost controlled contract hopefully. Learning from KD and Booker certainly won’t hurt his development.

It's funny both ways people think DA will go to Portland and have a different motivation and Nurk will come here and all of a sudden be more motivated it just doesn't work that way these guys are who they are.

You could literally count on one hand where experienced veterans were traded and all of a sudden became more motivated or drastically improved on the new team just rarely rarely happens. They are going to be the same versions of what they have always been.
