It's interesting that Coro seems to hint that LeBron never actually listened to the Suns' pitch. I could have sworn that ray ray mentioned they either got a meeting with him or were able to have direct communication. Perhaps I'm just misremembering (that's a word, right?).

Not everyone gets all the details right.

I am not sure I understand what the FO is doing. Every way I look at it, without Frye we're a worse team. Tucker was worth a few wins as well. If we're replacing them with, well, replacement level players we will be, in probability, a sub-.500 team.

How do you go into an offseason with 3 first round picks, and $35 million in cap space and still come out a worse team than before? It take a special kind of stupid. (*cough Kahn*) I don't think McD's stupid, far from it, but I am failing to see a vision. Hell, even trading cap space for bad contracts and draft picks would be something I could grasp. This? I'm not sure I get it.

True, but latest insider reports say we're standing pat in the FA market, and not particularly active in the trade market either. The logical conclusion is that we will fill remaining roster spots with whatever we find lying around after the marquee (and not quite marquee) names are off the board.

Ok I know I'm probably oversimplifying, but the consensus on Frye was that he was a crappy defender and rebounder but his threes gave us a unique ability to stretch the floor and helped Dragic and the offense thrive. So how about we just plug in Alec Brown and see if he can't have a similar effect? Taller than Frye and an even better 3PT shooter (42.4% in his last two seasons) and statistically even a slightly better rebounder.

So what do you think? Can Brown fill the role and be that guy we all yell at angrily through the TV for a couple hours a night but then look at the advanced stats and go, "Wow, what a great asset!"?

We did talk with other teams and in the end the trades were not beneficial. We felt that the current free agents were a little out of our price range. We wanted to keep our flexibility. We drafted two very good individuals who should contribute right away."

Here's the way i see it. On the FA market their isnt a player out there that puts us into a contending position. Monroe/Gasol/Deng? None of those guys take us from 48 wins to 58 or more wins and seriously contending with the likes of SA/OKC/CLIPS ect.

It seems like most of us want to see moves make just for the sake of moves to be made. We have all this cap space so we feel like it should be spent.

I said it last night and i'll say it again. The cap space we use this offseason will eat into what is available next offseason, SEVERELY hampering our ability to resign Markieff/Dragic, especially if we start handing out near max deals like candy.

Put it this way. Lets say we add Deng and Monroe. Sure they make us better this year. But next year is where their contracts hurt us. If we resign Tucker to $5mil per (currently looks like market value), max or near max Bledsoe, and hand out $20+mil in FA contacts, we'll be up to $60mil next offseason NOT including the cap holds of Markieff/Marcus/Dragic.

A lot of people are saying stay the course. I'd like that, but with a cavate. We have room to work this season. Throw an offer to Houstin for Jones and Motiejunas. Say a second rounder or two. These guys are almost desperate to dump players for Bosh. Make a call to Chicago and try to get into the Love trade. Throw them a first or the Mo-bros for Taj and Snell or whatever they need for Love. I could see us upgrading AND getting younger. Taj is only 29 and is a double double machine as a bench player behiend Boozer. We have assets that we can use to upgrade and stay the course plus the cap room to take a contract or two for players.

Keep yo hands of my draft picks! We ain't contending, which means we're taking draft picks for contracts, thank ya much!
