The only thing he's improved is his build and cutting his turnover rate a lot. Where are the improved assist numbers? The improved outside shot? The improved rebounding and defensive stats? They simply aren't there.
Get better and then expect a call up, cos at the moment he's just whining and coming off like the 20 year millionaire he is.
I'm sorry TASTIC this is too hilarious not to bring up. You've taken a
5 game sample size from the D-League as your proof that he has regressed. That is plain ridiculous.
And he's not whining. Even the new comments from his agent aren't enough to convince you of that?
What other sample size am I meant to use?
That's my point. Sure, he ISN'T getting NBA minutes when he likely should be - so he seriously needs to make the most of the time he does get on the court against whatever opposition that is.
He isn't better than Gerald Green, Thomas, Dragic, Bledsoe or anyone else in the current rotation - it's as simple as that. This team wants to win now and thinks it can make the playoffs, and it would be nice to insert him when we're up big (or just to give him 2-3 minutes per quarter to learn on the fly) - but the reality is, he isn't ready and neither are the Suns. We nearly blew a 20+ point game at home to a team missing it's All Star PF and top defensive C anchor for goodness sake.
It shouldn't matter where he's playing, when he gets minutes he needs to produce - my point is he ISN'T showing improvement in any area. Ok if he hasn't regressed, he certainly hasn't improved - or a) he'd be getting minutes or b) he'd be putting up better stats. So which one is it, what has he done in the 1.5 seasons he's been a professional basketball player? Improve, regress or stay the same?
Secondly, the comments by his agent were AFTER my post. I couldn't 'predict' what his agent was going to say and change my post...
I need to reiterate I don't want to trade him as I think he will be a solid player who has very big upside; my problem was the comments and going public about them - which surprise surprise his agent has 'cleared up'. Again, I am worried he's another DJ Strawberry - who also killed it in the D-League as a youngster but just never improved
