76ers fans have a thread on their forum titled "We need to thank the Phoenix Suns". Check it out

viewtopic.php?t=1367859

Maybe thank us in the form of one of their many 1st rd picks for Plumlee or Marcus? :D

Dragic hasnt committed... Suns dont want to lose him for nothing... McD is doing his due diligence.

Thomas is probably fetching really bad offers....

Also, please don't feel bad for people who consider points given up as a metric indicative of whether a team is good or bad defensively. Feel bad for people whose homes burned down or who have RLS.

Lol this is what I was wondering as well.

My life is going good right now, I really hope his post doesn't jinx me somehow.

I would rather give Dragic the same type of contract we gave Bledsoe and then have the same type of success and fun we had last year when both were healthy than pay IT for $7M/yr when he just doesn't fit.

It will be interesting to see what happens but if we end up trading Dragic for a late first and perhaps a marginal player you are really taking a step back.

About an overpay for Dragic....he's going to get overpaid....but with the cap likely jumping big time soon, it probably won't hamper anything....not for an extra few million a year. We've all seen how hard it is to use cap space to sign a quality player so if he is here, we should pay him whatever it takes and deal with any salary problems later (but I don't see us having them).

Now if there is a GREAT deal out there, ok, but you are not going to get a great deal for a guy with two months on his contract. Another thing about having a lot of money invested in two point guards...is that if we roll forward with Len as our 5, Kieff as our 4 and Warren as our 3, they are all on cheap deals for 3-4 years, so with a rising cap, that isn't going to be an issue, and guys like Bledsoe and Dragic will always be tradeable if need be in the future in a package to land a star if that is even possible (and those are hard to come by).

If we can't get a good deal for Dragic, it's better to roll the dice on him sticking around. A late first doesn't help us much unless we nail the pick, and more average bigs don't help much either.

I know people talk a lot about not wanting to overpay Dragic, but it's not like we have ANY other guys that will command big deals in the near future, so we will be fine, and there is a better chance of landing a VERY good player if you have assets like Dragic than hoping some star FA decides to come to Phx in free agency.

Trade IT and Dragic, give Bledsoe full control of the team, watch him put up Wall/Westbrook numbers.

If healthy, I'd much rather have Len than Noel.

LOL this.

IMO if I was a rookie entering the draft, Suns would be one of the last teams I would want to get drafted by. At least the rookies on contenders who don't play can at least enjoy the team success and deep playoff runs etc.

Well I hope if this happens you are right. Make no mistake, I love Bledsoe, but Dragic is a nice guy to have with him. If we had a stud 2 waiting in the wings it wouldn't seem as bad.

Bad thing is I think if Dragic DOES get traded IT probably doesn't, and then you have Bledsoe and IT playing a lot together which would still really suck.

Hopefully Bullock becomes a stud shooter. I'm lukewarm on Goodwin (not nearly as high as many, but if he can learn to shoot well, that would change things big time).

I'm just not sure some of these guys have high basketball IQs, and you will never beat the teams with Harden, Curry, etc without smart players.

I can't blame other team's fans that think Len isn't that good. He is way better than his numbers suggest but we have a terrible coach that minimizes his abilities and never lets him touch the ball.

Yea but even then to say that we would be a contender had we drafted Noel instead of Len is ridiculous.

Yeah, most fans know he hasn't regressed much and is good. He needs to handle the ball a bit more to get into his groove, but he can score in multiple ways which is a valuable trait to have. A lineup with him, Bledsoe, Warren, Kieff and Len in the future sounds pretty good to me. We would have a bunch of guys who can score in multiple ways and a nice big in the middle to disrupt.

Would I like BETTER players at each spot? Of course, who wouldn't? But that lineup sounds pretty good as a starting unit and we would have some nice youth behind them as well as a couple of decent vets on the bench if needed.

Once we started Len, I don't think we lost to a subpar team at all, at least not recently, and went right down to the wire against really good teams. The Sacramento loss sucked, but we were missing two important starters and still nearly won.

This starting team is pretty good the last month before the Len injury, and insert Warren in the future, it might make the difference in those close games against good teams. He seems to provide things we need....particularly offensive rebounding....but obviously scoring is his specialty.

At the time I didn't mind the move because it seemed like good value but it has backfired big time. We are also an injury or two from our injury prone players away from being really bad, though I guess some of the fans around here want us to be really bad.

It will be interesting to see what happens to attendance next year if Dragic is gone.

We made a HUGE mistake the last time around trading Dragic + 2nd for Brooks. We better not make the same mistake again

Actually, the Suns traded Dragic and a first for Brooks.

Yeah I put that trade up there as one of the worst Suns trades in recent history

If this was before Len was balling for us, I'd jump all over it.

I'm surprised Dragic hasn't said anything like this yet. It would be more justifiable.

I'd trade Isaiah for him. He could potentially switch to PF if we trade the twins later on.

Your undervaluing Kanter. Utah would rather let Kanter walk for nothing than accept that.

IT, Plumlee and either Ennis or Suns protected 1st for Kanter is something that could work.

Your right Kanter could work as a PF, he has good range and is actually startin to expand his game to the 3pt line.

It would shut up the critics of small ball like me and Charles Barkley.

I doubt the Suns do it though, it goes against everything they believe in.

Bledsoe doesn't have the skill set on offense to take over a game like Westbrook.
