Porzingis is better than Booker and nobody would swap Booker for Butler.

I was just wondering if Griffin would turn down his player option then sign with us.

?????/Booker/Bender/Blake/KP

In this scenario I really hope we'd go after Porter rather than Griffin. I guess Washington would match any offer, but if we were able to pry him away we'd have a nice core of players of around the same age group who can grow together. Ideally we have a group of players all hitting their primes around the same time.

Yes.

But would ask to take on Noah for their 8th pick

Would you rather have Porzingis or Butler? If this is the price, I would rather have the very proven, All-NBA Butler. I think he could be had cheaper than this price also.

Porzingis easily. Guys with Butler's skillset are pretty common. Porzingis? Exceedingly rare. Plus you have to consider the age difference too.

Pass on Griffin. Just keep building the roster up through the draft. Golden State isnt going anywhere for at least 3 years. No need to rush.

Are you oblivious to the age of the rest of our team and the fact that Butler can walk as a UFA? Kristaps is under control for SEVEN YEARS.

I would push hard for Patrick Beverly from the Rockets as our starting PG if we had that lineup.

Blake is a perfect point forward. He was amazing against the Spurs in that playoff series when CP3 was out. Beverly would be a great compliment. Fun squad.

No to Bev for me. Just draft Evans in the 2nd round and go into the season with Ulis, Knight, Evans. Bev is a great defender but he just isn't all that good overall.

Porzingis easily. If you can hit 3s and block shots, that is extremely important in today's nba. His shot is unguardable. Butler is nice and a good defender, but he is 27 and doesn't have much shooting range. With our team, KP makes much more sense if we trade one of Chriss and Bender.

This is very interesting to me. I have to think Zingers market is skewing his value away from the regular base. Butler is already All-NBA. You have to think that Porzingis has a very high likelihood of being an MVP, or even an all-timer. It should be noted that Butler hit a fair amount better from 3 than Zinger did, passed far better, scored better, and defended way better. Who would you rather have playing against GSW? Still Zinger? Thats tough for me to see. I like Porzingis, it just seems like a lot of people are in a hurry to overlook his obvious flaws.

I take a Booker/Butler/FA/Griffin/Chandler lineup over inserting KP in there. Chriss' rookie numbers are very similar and in some ways better than Zingers.

Got to get the squad winning. Maybe KP3, Booker and Griffin don't win a chip. But four years down the road when Bender is 24 and Booker is 25 and KP is 26 and Griffin's contract is off the books - the Suns and that core have a track record of winning and they will be ready to take the next step.

Griffin is a great playmaker. Perfect fit with KP and Booker.

Bledsoe/Warren/#4? ...Yeah, gotta do it.

Phil probably needs more return than these choices offer, so it's moot. I'm a little worried about The Zinger's injuries this past season anyway.

Well, back to hoping for Jackson, or Fox and a Bledsoe trade

That pretty close to how I feel....except for Fox...sub in Isaac for me, who is probably somewhat of a KP type player...better defense, can hit the 3.

What I find funny is that if we do the NY deal, Brandon Knight is back at starting PG lol.

Goes from the most useless to most in need on the roster.

Because McD always comes close but never pull out the big deal or big signing. I don't blame him as much as I do the Suns luck.

Common sense says he doesn't get traded

I would be okay with this. But I don't want him getting traded anywhere else because that would disappoint me quite a bit.

Are you oblivious to the fact that many of our young players are able to be traded for other age- comparable players to Butler? How did that control work out for NY? There is not control for seven years, that is a myth. Any player that wants out can get out. Either through taking a QO or forcing it through the media.

That said, I can understand a preference for going young, just not at some of the costs being discussed. If the club goes that way at the cost in this quote they will do so without my support. It's too risky given what I have seen so far from Zinger. I like him and would like to trade for him, just not at that price.

I'll say this right now...the Celtics will surpass the Spurs and Lakers for me in terms of which team I hate the most if Danny Ainge selects Josh Jackson tomorrow despite Jackson not wanting to go there and not working out for them. Same if he trades the pick to some other team who selects Josh Jackson.

Ainge and McD go way back and McD has helped him out plenty in deals because of their friendship so if Ainge can't do this one favor for him and just take Tatum then Boston Celtics become my most hated team and Danny Ainge becomes my most hated sports celebrity.

One year of Beverly at $5.5 million sounds pretty good to me as a veteran stop gap. Decent shooter. Good defender.

How? Tyler Ulis isn't a part of the deal is he?

No. You don't. All you have to do is look at the age of the rest of our roster, the current makeup of the other contenders (GSW, for instance, who are the greatest team of all time), and logically proceed to gauge what gives us the longest and best window for contending. That is EASILY with 21 year old Kristaps.

Also, Butler is 27. Kristaps with 6 years of improvement could easily best him. Look at Kristaps's numbers at 21 v. Butler's. They are not even close (in favor of Kristaps).
