SMH at Kevin Pelton and Keith Pompey

Wow I missed that. How do they leave him off? That's the epitome of 'this has nothing to do with Monty and everything to do with Paul'. That's a shame
Not sure why but Pelton seems to have some animosity towards the suns.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Yeah, I was trying to find all of them. Doc seems like a weird one. I can kind of get McMillan for the job he did after he came in but at the same time he didn't even coach the whole year so it doesn't seem like he should make it.

Carlisle already connected to Bucks and Pacers head coaching job.

Must feel good to be Budenholzer 1 game away from the ECF and to see that.

Is it me, or does Philly not understand that if they lose this game they are over?

ATL is just a WELL constructed team (unlike Philly).

-Put Capela around Trae Young and good things will happen.
-Get shooters who can handle the ball, too, next to Trae, and good things will happen.
-Get some defenders and vets and MORE shooters and good things will happen.

Philly?

Let's max a guy who cannot shoot and keep ignoring our lack of playmaking.

What team will have a better future going forward Hawks or Mavs?

They are just going through the motion no urgency whatsoever. Major construction to their team will happen in the offseason. Heck I'd even look for a new coach as Doc is a huge problem as well. 76ers are also missing Green's defense and three point shooting maybe with him they wound have won in 6.

The way the teams are built currently and where they could go, definitely Hawks. Luka is the best player on either team but who's their next best player? THJ? Mavs have a lot of work to do to revamp that roster because it just isn't very good and the fact that they have been good is more a testament of Luka's talent than anything. They've whiffed on a bunch of FA opportunities when they had solid cap space but they threw their eggs into the KP basket and now they are stuck.

Hawks are a balanced team with a bunch of good young talent on rookie deals and they just have to figure out what to do with Collins.

They should have put better pieces around Luka, but they are good. They were very close to beating the Clippers in round 1 who had HCA and were the favorites (according to 538) to win it all..and the Clips were still the favorites prior the the Kawhi injury. Mavs seemed to play them tougher than the Jazz did.

Who knows what Dallas would have looked like against Utah but given how they played the Clippers I think there is a good chance they would have beaten Utah.

Sometimes you just end up with the toughest matchup in the playoffs. But if Luka had the Hawks pieces they have around Trae they would be very tough to beat. Heck, the Hawks as us beat us by 30, and this wasn't long before the playoffs.

Why do they have Tyrese Maxey in there taking shots and guarding Trae in crunch time? A rookie picked in the 20s in an elimination game doing that?

I think that's more an issue with the Clippers not quite gelling yet. But the point stands, their roster just need to get better and in particular, they need a legit #2 because KP has been unplayable sometimes.

I just like how balanced the Hawks are and that's with guys like Reddish and Hunter not even playing. I like the way their pieces fit (Bogdan signing was awesome), I liked their young guys and I think they have a solid coach now.

Yeah, I was watching a series on my tv and had the game on a laptop to the side so was just glancing over occasionally until there were like 3 minutes left...and I couldn't see who that was..so I put it on my tv and immediately saw him shoot it with a 7 pt lead, miss, and then guard Trae on the other end who hit a 3 to cut it to 4....so I commented.

Then I heard he had played well. Pretty crazy to rely on that late pick of a rookie in an elimination game.

Funny I was back watching a show and had this game now on my laptop and glancing over couldn't tell who Mann was....looked almost like Maxey..hair and everything....then I figured it out.

I am not sure who I want to win this game. I understand wanting it to go 7 but I don't think we can beat Utah at all without Paul, and if he misses a few games I don't think we can win the series.

I think we could probably at least take 1 and maybe both to open the series even without Paul against the Clippers.

That all being said, I don't think there is much chance Utah loses tonight or on Sunday, so we likely have to play the Jazz and hopefully Paul misses no more than 2 games and is back by Saturday or before.

Would you rather play a near full strength Utah with CP3 available for our home games, or Kawhi-less Clippers but we miss CP3 for our home games?
