It's post playoffs now and they pushed a very savvy veteran team to 7. I think that's certainly worth consideration

At the end of the day the 2nd seed lost against the 7th seed and that has to be tough to them.

I would be surprised if they don't make any changes. Probably they don't try to get KD but they would try to get another veteran scorer.

It doesn't have to be KD but I think in terms of a scorer who helps them on both ends of the court and can step up in late game offensive situations, KD is hard to beat. Sure Giannis is better now and better for long term as well but he'll cost more which means more of the team would have to be dismantled to get a deal done. With KD they'll get to keep more of their guys.

Wouldn't trust the word of Gambo as gospel either.

Gambo will say what won't happen but he will not break any Durant trades

I mostly only trust Gambo when he says something won't happen.

Translation:
Matt Ishbia will be our behind the scenes 2K GM/ owner alongside of Isaiah Thomas with Gregory being the " yes man" accountability shield for further horrific moves that destroy our long term future. Other than that little detail, everything sounds rather promising! :D

I just hope they get KD and give us 2/3 interesting things/players, but I just think they are not that stupid... Their situation is not desperate. Ours is.

FGA per 100
Jalen Green: 25.9fga
KD: 24.5fga

Pts per100
Jalen Green: 31.1ppg
KD: 36.0ppg

TS%
Jalen Green: 54.4%
KD: 64.2%

3PT%
Jalen Green: 35.4%
KD: 43.0%

Let's not even talk about Green's postseason performance. They're not desperate because they still have time on their side but they do want to improve and KD would be a serious upgrade to both ends of the court. In terms of this past playoffs, Sengun is pretty good but he averaged just under 21ppg in the playoffs as their best scorer and that just isn't close to enough. Their 2nd best scorer was a 31yo FVV at just under 19ppg and his future isn't set with the Rockets. I expect everyone on the team to get better but Jalen and Sengun needs to be able to get to that next level this upcoming season or it'll be a repeat of these playoffs. And how confident are the Rockets that Jalen can take that next step and soon? I don't know, I just know I'm not high on him

We'll either get no takers and run it back or 40 cents on the dollar which implies...he's worth 40 cents.

Many of us hated the trade and not just because it was an overpay. Durant ain't him and now he's 37. Why would anyone else want him now?

I think Durant will have value to the Rockets and other teams
Just NOT the value Suns wants for him since Ishbia so stupidly overpaid for him

My guess, Durant will go to a team like the Twolves or Heat., maybe the Rockets

But the deal for the Rockets will be something like Brooks, Londale, maybe Jabari Smith and a FRP - its not going to be great
and the suns should just accept it

Like Beal- take your medicine, don't do something stupid like trade away a first round pick. If he takes the 30m pay cut and they stretch him, I think thats stupid as its five years and not two. but just don't trade away picks

If the 40c on the dollar is based on our overpay then I agree, it'll probably be more or less around that. But I don't think KD's value around the league has diminished like he's a has been. He's still the 6th best scorer in the league this past season, he was 11th in 3PT% and 12th in TS%. Look beyond the age and his career peak and look at what he brings on paper and it's clear he's still a damn good player

Durant will have value but a team like the Rockets, this was really year 1 of where they are at - so they don't need to spend all their assets yet. Hence, I think if the Rockets trade for Durant it will be more of the above. And that could mean the Rockets still offer the most even if its not what everybody wants -meaning Smith and Eason and Whitmore and all the Suns picks back. I think it would be a scaled down version

A team like the TWolves, in a different space - might be more inclined to make a good deal. The Spurs -- with Fox and Wemby, how would Durant fit with those two - I think pretty darn well
