I initially didnt like the Warren Pick, but man... I'm starting to love him now.

There are a whole bunch of players in the league that can shoot the three well. Even though Warren isnt one of them (yet), he's got something that very very few other players have; the ability to flat our score anywhere inside the key. Yep, floaters, runners, banks, scoops, whatever, the guy can put the ball in the hole. Now THAT is a unique skill. He aint no Steve Novak, or Kyle Korver, this guy is a straight up- old school baller.

He really reminds me alot of Latrell Sprewell or Bernard King - old school baller.

If Warren develops (has he already?) his 3 point shot, he'd have a new school facet to his versatile, old-school style. Going back to the summer league, he was already fun to watch. It's good to see him continuing it into the preseason.

I think Warren's ability to hit from areas on the floor that most defenses are used to leaving relatively unguarded will (potentially) help him to carve out a very nice offensive slice of the NBA pie.

Sincerely, and I can see it in his game, the kid just "feels" the offensive flow of each contest. That's rare. Frankly, he reminds me of Paul Pierce.

There is no reason to think that a player who can score at a high level inside 20 feet, cannot develop a consistent three point shot. I think it is in the Suns best interest to develop this kid as quickly as possible.

Two of my fave players ever. I loved their game. As well as TJ`s.

I do believe he can be a 25 ppg player in his prime.

I really think that Warren is gonna be our star player in one or two years. He plays like a veteran, and he has a rare combination of work ethic and natural feeling for the game. I am so proud that McDonough and Horny selected him at #14 in the draft.
Hopefully we will see him playing big minutes in the next preseason games...I want him like our starting SF for the first three games of the season at least.

He needs to add some consistency to that range on his shot which he has shown he can shoot. Once he has that down and we use him as a slasher, he would be very hard to guard anywhere on the floor.

I don't want to talk him up too much, but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far, and that's rare for me to feel that way about a rookie that isn't a big.
I don't want to draw a comparison between him and Marion because they are completely different types of players, but I think he can score with ease like Marion did. I'm not too worried about him shooting effectively from three just yet, as I think it will take at least two seasons for him to shoot that shot at a decent clip.
Anyway, I hope he gets some good reps in this year, and we knock out PJ Tucker from the rotation.

Warren has that Scorer's mentality.

Glen Robinson (senior like) with a bit of Cedric Cebalos thrown in.

Basically, with 30 minutes a game and 15 shots, I think he is a legitimately a 17-20 ppg player.

God I hope so. If Warren pans out, who do you guard if you're the defense? Bledsoe? Dragic? Warren?

A lineup of Bledsoe/Dragic/Warren/Tolliver/Plumlee would be very, very difficult to guard.

I think we should wait until Warren at least plays a single game in the NBA before we start getting our hopes up. I remember multiple people on this board last offseason clamoring, after a good summer league showing, that Archie Goodwin was the steal of the draft and that he could be a guy that averages 20-25 points a game too. Now everyone seems to have soured on Archie. I would think PJ, Marcus, and Green are all going to see minutes at small forward before Warren does, so I don't think its a stretch to see Warren follow a similar path as Goodwin, that is looking good in summer league, limited minutes during rookie year, and fans turning on him before the start of his 2nd season.

Face it, Goodwin came out 2 yrs too early. TJ is so much further along in his game.

I think Warren and Goodwin are very different animals. First, the Goodwin hype last year was very very unrealistic. It was a lot of the typical "WOAH HE CAN DO THE JUMP HIGH!!! HE DA NEXT GRATE JUAN!!!" Warren is a very polished dude. The guy was an absolute monster in college, Goodwin was part of an underachieving Kentucky team, that was a massive disappointment even before Noel went down. Goodwin has a low of raw talent that might one day blossom. Warren on the other hand has a lot of NBA level tangible skills and a very high basketball IQ.

I don't think there is any chance he averages 20 a game as a rookie, but I think he will look good in his minutes, score efficiently and within a few months will be a regular contributor off the bench. While I expect Goodwin to bounce around between Bakersfield and DNPs with the big club.

Both are great members of this team moving forward. Don't see the need to bash Goodwin
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Don't see the need to feather his ass and spoon feed him cotton candy either. There has been a lot of love for "WHAT many THINK Archie will do' when truth is he has to improve his game significantly ......else he won't be around here. His next paycheck just might be a pay cut.

Goodwin was much more of a project that many here fail to acknowledge. IMO, he is the poster child for a two yr minimum stay in college. No hate here, just blatant observations.

I'm a big believer in Archie Goodwin. The kid works extremely hard. When the staff says you are outworking guys like Bledsoe and Dragic, that means something to me. He has an elite first step. His main problem is that the game has not yet slowed down for him, which it will. Also he doesn't have an NBA jump shot. I think with all the time he's putting in he will eventually get there though. We have the luxury of being able to bring him along slowly. He's on a guaranteed deal for 2 more years after this one at the paltry salary of a 28th pick. There's some great players on the team that he can learn from.

Lets not forget that even though he's been in the league a year he's still a full year younger than TJ Warren. Some people just bloom late too. I think Archie is going to be fine. I honestly like what I've seen out of him this preseason more than what I've seen out of Zoran.
