If they were all already committed it would have been much easier to sell free agents on Miami.
Exactly. Teams are waiting for Lebron to sign somewhere before the other Major FA's get signed. In the meantime, the lesser FA's are being signed left and right. The issue is those lesser FA's are the ones that Miami has the money for and have been reported to be targeting.
People also say that if they didnt plan to re-sign then Wade and Bosh wouldnt have opted out, and i think that is BS. Yeah, there are no real takers for Wade, but he will always have a home with the Heat in Miami. Even if Lebron does leave them, they have already earned a ton of cash and know that its better to opt out now and re-sign taking a bit less cash if that means they can get some good players in there to help replace Lebron. Its also extending their contracts on top of that.
