HOU v OKC final score: 69-65

Yeah, that was a pretty ugly game. Both teams shot 30% from the field. BTW, I noticed Rockets got much better defensively then the previous year.

Top two teams in the NBA squared off tonight between Memphis and Houston. Memphis completely outplayed them and won by 20+. Looks like we know who the best team so far is.

Why don't the networks put a foul count on their score overlay? I've never understood that.

Individual foul count or team foul count?

Team, for each quarter. They have the bonus indicator but I want to know how many they have left to give. I'm no good at keeping track of it in my head.

Don't forget the Lakers they just won tonight. Lin/Kobe look amazing and Boozer playing like he's in Utah again.

Well they did play well, as did Hill. They have a decent starting lineup....their D sucks but if they are clicking offensively, they will be in some games.

I don't think they will finish with the 2nd worst record....probably more like the 4th or 5th. If it's 5th, their greatest probability in the draft is dropping to 6th in the lottery.

If they have an injury, they will be in trouble.

Having said that, I don't really care that much if we get that pick, especially if we want to sign a FA, because they will eat into cap space and we have plenty of young guys....I might rather get it the next year, when adding two young guys might make more sense at that time.

I want the pick. There's a good chance it is in the 6-8 range, which would give us a chance to land a difference maker. Or we could always use it for a good trade.

I think bwgood meant, he didn't care if we got the pick this season or the next. If we don't get the pick this season, we save ~$3m in cap space and it rolls onto the next with only top-3 protection.

I'd rather miss the pick this season and go try and find us a good FA with the cap space we have left before we ink Dragic.

Since the Lakers are always a potential landing spot for a big FA, I think this year is the best chance for us to get a good pick from them. They could be much better next year and we end up with something in the 10-15 range instead of 6 or 7.

Plus, we can bundle the pick with Plumlee and a guard (IT?) and get a good 4 or 5 in a trade. I don't see many realistic difference maker FAs. Everyone will be gunning for Gasol and Aldridge.

Kobe Bryant 37 min 10-18 FG -> WIN

At last he understand the best way help team. Hope this continue coz that 1.round pick.

Maybe teammates cry in media was the main reason.

That's true, but they may be aiming for 2016, and the only guy I see them having a chance at getting is Rondo. I don't know if he'd want to go there or not though but there may not be many spots for him. It may be tough for them to get people to want to play with Kobe in his last year....though Rondo doesn't care to shoot so it may make sense, especially since Rondo won't have many options.

In any case, they would still likely be a lottery team and we'd probably get a top 8 pick or so. It would be nice to get the pick this year, but I don't think getting it next year would be too bad or even the year after because I think they are going to have a hard time building a competitive team soon. There could be a small chance Love and Westbrook want to go back to LA and rejoin, but I think they will probably like being where they are on championship contenders.

Why is the travelers today trying to break nba stories?

But to answer your question, probably not because the Morris twins are playing so well. But if we did want an energetic rebounder on the team and we were having chemistry problems with too many point guards, it would probably be Isaiah Thomas.

I think they'd be hesitant though because he has a pretty big contract that lasts a very long time. Plus, we REALLY need bigs who can shoot with some range for our driving point guards and can't clog the middle all the time or they can't take the ball to the basket.

it took five championships, two finals mvps, and almost 20 years of professional NBA basketball, but maybe Kobe finally figured out how to win
