I'd imagine something like the twins, Dragic, warren, and change. Or, Len instead of Kieff.
I'd like to pair Len with Cousins though.

Highly doubtful the Kings trade Cousins and keep him in the West. Most likely they will be shipping him off to an Eastern team with plenty of young assets. Would make sense for to him go to a team like Charlotte for a package surrounding Al Jefferson.

As it should be. Miami wants him, Miami is paying him. He has embraced the city. He should stay. His skill set would be perfect here in Phoenix, but his age and salary are not a match.

McD said recently that they are looking for a star player in a similar age bracket with the core of this team. That is not Bosh.

Deng and Birdman for Thomas + isn't a bad move for us. Didn't Deng sign a contract where he could be a FA next year? It might be a risky move for us considering our three guard group is starting to produce.

I used McRoberts in the trade checker, because Chris can't be traded yet, like you said.

But a Thomas, Randolph, Mitchell, the Minny pick, and our second rounder would work for Deng and Anderson. I included the picks because Deng is a starter, even though Thomas has the best per of the lot.

People keep saying this as if it's the only logical possibility and it may well be but I can see a very good reason to go against traditional thinking. The guy is a talent, that's undeniable, but they have been horrible for his entire time there. Even still, the only reason they'd consider moving him now is if they have finally reached the point where they've become convinced he was never going to mature into a stable person. If that's the case and if I ran the Kings, I'd jump at the chance to not just strip bare a divisional foe's roster but to also dump my toxic waste into their locker room.

Deng has a player option. Most likely will opt in and wait for 2016 class when cap space increases unless he totally hates the situation. Suns were actually just beat out by the Heat to sign him so there seems to be genuine interest from both sides. I am sure at the final hour Deng chose to play with Wade and Bosh thinking he had a better shot in the East.

You could include Anderson in the real GM checker. I think you have to throw in Tucker along with Mitchell and Randolph for salaries to match number for number.

Chris only makes 7k more than McRoberts, and my trade worked so I say no to including Tucker. :D We opened up $6.1 million after dealing Toliver, so we can absorb some salary. We can absorb all of Chris's salary with 3k still to use, and Thomas+Randolph+ Mitchell is very close to Deng's salary.

Sorry it meant 70k more for Chris, and 300k after absorbing Chris.

Why exactly do we need Deng on this team? Where does he fit in the rotation? Whose minutes does he take? Tucker and Mook are playing very good for us this year and both have long-term contracts with the Suns. And then there is Warren...

People keep saying this as if it's the only logical possibility and it may well be but I can see a very good reason to go against traditional thinking. While that may be the case, they have to understand that when a player lands in a completely different situation, there's a good chance his attitude would change. I'm not saying he becomes a saint or anything, but maybe the change in scenery does him good.

My question would really be if IT would accept him after what he said, or is Cousins would be willing to come here if he truly believes what he said about IT. But if all that is the proverbial "water under the bridge", then I think it would be a great move for him. I'm still undecided as to if it would be a good move for us.

We would have to include Len--no way do they trade their star C, without receiving a C in return. Their cupboard is pretty bare. So we would have to include Len. Here's a trade idea I really don't like, and would be very risky for us, BUT, it might turn out ok.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=o2fevjt

Derrick Williams gets a chance to rejuvenate his career here, and Cousins would give us that "star" player that may lure another star player here in FA. We'd lose the Morri, which I don't like, and Len, which I also do not like, and Dragic, which I really really do not like, but it would leave us with:

IT/Ennis
EB/Green/Goodwin
PJ/Warren
Williams/Randolph
Cousins/Plumlee

We would have to depend on Cousins and EB as our 'star' power to get us through until Williams 'wakes up', and Warren finds his groove. Again, I don't like this trade, but in my opinion, this is what it would probably take to get him. Len would have to be offered up, and feel the Morri as well. We might be able to keep Goran, but would have to give them something of value, so maybe this works:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ph67lga

We drop Williams from the trade, we keep Goran and the Morri, and give up Green, Ennis, and Goodwin.

So in the end, I vote for Bigfoot's suggestion by just staying put!!! :D

The reason I sought your team out as a potential trade partner with the Heat is because your current starting SF (Tucker) is only averaging 8 points per and seems to be undersized to go along with your already small backcourt. Deng who at 6'9 provides an all around game and veteran leadership to your starting lineup that I can only assume from the numbers that Tucker is not providing. Deng also gives you one of the best all around defenders in the game. Does Tucker provide lock down defense to mask him only scoring 8 points per game? Put Deng as the starting SF on your squad and he is going to easily double Tucker's scoring output and be able to guard the other teams best wing player. (Mook) Who I am assuming you are referring to Maurice Morris would continue to be the backup to Deng. Green and his slim figure are better suited for backup two guard duties with some spot three. This gives the Suns a more traditional rotation instead and does away with the undersized backcourt current rotation of Dragic, Bledsoe, and Thomas. That guard lineup is cute for the regular season but come playoff time your squad is destined to get swept. My original trade proposal was something along the lines of Thomas and Tucker for Deng, Cole, and Williams. Thomas and Tucker both carry long term deals that you can get off your books to make a grand splash in free agency in the next two years. Your lineup would look like this

C Alex Len-Plumlee
PF M. Morris-S Williams
SF Deng-M. Morris-T Warren
SG Bledsoe-Green-Goodwin
PG Dragic-Cole-Ennis

To me that looks like a rotation that would give team's fits in the playoffs. Cole immediately upgrades your bench guard defense and Deng adds an allstar with playoff experience to your starting lineup. So not only do you upgrade your team for the now but also now hold some serious money to go out and reel in a super big fish. I personally think it's a win win for both teams.

* Just wanted to add that your current guard rotation is 6'1,6'2,5'9. Now with including Green at backup two guard you have a guy that's 6'8 instead of 5'9 coming off the bench. If Horny wants to go to a three PG rotation he has Cole at 6'2. Cole btw was meant to play in your fast paced style. He is also tied up with Rich Paul so he may even have a connection with Bledsoe.

Sad story for Sanders... I remember looking for advanced stats by Jeremias Engelmann...
his defense was right there with Dikembe Mutombo in all-time impact.

Really sad.

well said with an echo here.

Some have just got to give up the love affairs and move to improve. Worse case is Deng leaves and 13 mill drops off the books next yr. The above squad is much more appealing to me and is perhaps just a simple PF/C signing/trade (JO?) away from bothering the league.
What ? Me Worry ?
