Because he has 9'7 standing reach (under half a foot from the rim), incredibly explosive jump over 30 inch vertical also. Plus he is a very good rebounder and active.

You still can't just jump into a player in front of you. Start watching him, anyone else would be fouled out on over-the-backs.
