If the Lakers get Cousins and pair him with Kobe and sign another big time free agent at point guard or somewhere else, trading that Lakers pick sure as hell does not look bad at all. I never thought trading that pick looked bad because I figured something like this would happen. I always believed the Lakers would secure a top five this year, add marquee players, and be ready to contend much sooner than later.

Sources: Lakers, Kings exchange framework of trade centered on DeMarcus Cousins today, discussions could intensify Thursday. Story soon.

Not sure how the Lakers can possibly pull this off...maybe the Kings are enamored with Okafor or someone else?

That's the thing. Unless the Kings are relenting about their desire to get players to help them win now, how is LA even a possibility? Nobody on that team can help any team win now.

"Minimally, the Lakers have no intention of including Randle in a deal for Cousins, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Randle, a power forward, was the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft and missed most of his rookie season after leg surgery. The Lakers are reluctant to part with Clarkson too, sources said."

What exactly do they have to offer then? I'm thinking this is just the Kings trying to get leverage and force higher bids from other teams.

Well, they basically could hand them Okafor with then 2nd pick and that young PG they have looked really promising...that's a pretty good start...if Cousins wants out...Okafor and a PG which they need is a good start.....I never can remember the name of that PG...someone please help me out on this.

That's Clarkson, right? Sounds like they don't want to give him up either.

If we wanted to dive into a 3-way...looks like it's at least possible (http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=o6fz2dg) salary-wise. Would probably have to throw in picks too.

Good work on the trade...it seems to work out for everyone, but it would be hard to stomach for me giving up Len and Bledsoe.....Cousins is worth it, but it better pay off. I'd probably pull the trigger, but with reservations....it seems like it could work out well for all teams. Part of the reason, a large part is Len's prone to being injured.

Gallinari on the trade block.

He'd be a perfect 3/stretch four in a run and gun system, and he's on a cap friendly contract.

Offer Kieff and Tucker?

Cousins will not play here if Bledsoe is traded.

Love me some Gallo. If anyone can keep him healthy, it's the Suns medical staff

He had a couple beastly games towards the end of last year when he was presumably back at full health and in shape. He definitely fits one of our needs but giving up Kieff is too much (long-term contract that's a good deal for 1 year of Gallinari).

Because they are best buddies in college? If he's under contract he will.

I'd be happy to get Gallo.

They're really close, even went to Hawaii together last summer. Boogie is a very emotional guy. He lashed out at Karl and the Kings because they fired Malone. I don't think he'd be too keen on playing here if we put Bledsoe in the situation he's trying to escape. I also don't think he gets traded here unless he forces his way here. Dwight had a list of teams, Love had a list of teams, even Dragic had a list of teams. The Kings won't even consider trading with us unless Cousins says "I want to play for the Suns" which won't happen without Bledsoe.

Do we really want Cousins? I mean, I see everyone on here complaining about the mental headache the twins have been, y'all prepared for the walking headache that is Demarcus Cousins?

Cousins wants to be a Laker?

Apparently he said he wants to stay at Sacramento.

Kings are bending over again for the Lakers... they SHOULD NEVER help the Lakers get better... same division, rivalry etc.

What do you expect him to say exactly? Don't forget about the Divac/Laker connection.

Everyone wants to be a Laker. If I was in the NBA I'd rather be a Laker than a Sun.

Yes. 24/13/3.5apg/1.5spg/1.5bpg is the difference

What was the Lakers record for the past two seasons? I would rather play for the SUNS and that would not even be close.

I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong about trading the pick if this happens. Didn't like the trade at all when it happened because I thought there would be no free agent willing to sign with the Lakers, and that they wouldn't have the trade assets to bring in a free agent at the time.

Cousins agent probably telling him to go to Lakers...

Suns are more competitive and will be a playoff team WITH him as the center piece... Lakers need 2-3 further moves to even be decent.
