I'm assuming Suns are offering 1+1 (2 year, player option second year) to Aldridge as well?
Then re-sign him at 4 years 100 Million contract.

I know LMA is the main course for the next couple of days, but I hope this board isn't forgetting about STAT. Regardless of what happens with our wooing of the (hopefully) former Blazer, I would love to see maven of the pick and roll back in orange to finish his career.

The dream of 2009 of the Chandler/Amare frontcourt is alive in Phoenix.

Kings just Dumped Landry/Stauskas/Thompson (What King fans were offering us for Bledsoe) to the 76ers at the cost of a 1st round pick (and the ability for the 76ers to swap picks in 2 other drafts), all to clear room to sign Rondo.

What a joke of a franchise

No wonder DMC wants to bail

Even funnier:

The Kings will receive Arturas Gudaitis and Nikola Mitrovic in the Nik Stauskas trade.

And you thought Vlade Divac was done flopping when he retired from playing. These two guys were picked 47th and 60th in the draft for a guy who went eighth in the draft just last year. Sam Hinkie took Vlade to the cleaners on this one.

And besides The player formally known as Rondo, they are also going HARD after Wes Matthews.

It's like tricking a slow kid into giving up more than they should. You got what you wanted but you also gotta feel bad you took advantage of the slow kid.

Or let him think that, and if it doesn't work out, just let him walk.

I actually like this trade for the Kings. Stauskas is garbage and won't amount to anything IMO. Hinkie will tank for the next 40 years so these picks swaps won't matter that much if at all. If they spend the cap space on good players (not Rondo and Monta!) they could turn things around. But, as Kendrick Perkins said, "these mother******s are still the Sacramento Kings"...

And BTW, how about: Marcus, LaMarcus and DeMarcus on the same team?

Well thats the rumored Spurs offer, based on the previous post citing that Aldridge wants to the maximum cash he can earn on top of being the main star of a competitive team.

McD will usually never allow such a risky move, but what if thats the minimum requirements Aldridge have placed to all suitors.

As a lifelong Blazer fan I will not be surprised to see LMA leave to chase greener pastures, and a better chance to contend. Though I think a lot of people are undervaluing the fact LMA is 30 years old with a history of a few odd injuries (heart palpitations for one). Could a guaranteed 5th year maximum deal sway him into staying? Maybe. But, I still think he rolls the dice on a team that can contend right away. With all due respect to you PHX fans, as I have no axe to grind around these parts, not sure how PHX can make a better case than San Antonio.

So reliable that Marc Stein erased Dick Prick's tweet that he re-tweeted.

And this is all glossing over the fact that he still has two teams to meet with.

Thanks for your input. However the Spurs are not contenders in the long-term. Once Duncan/Popovich retire Ginobli won't be too far behind. Parker might stick around however their role players will not make a difference. That will pretty much be a rebuild with Parker finishing up his final years (i.e. no play-offs)

Does LMA really want to rebuild that quickly? I just don't see the Spurs winning a title in the next few seasons. SUNS are a darkhorse and can give him long-term stability with a chance to get far in the play-offs. Sky is the limit in Phoenix.

Are you saying that the Spurs next year with LMA aren't a contender? LMA can sign a 2 year deal and see how it plays out. That is really the question here for any destination not named PDX. If we're comparing the Spurs to the Suns, then you'd have to argue that the Suns are better with LMA next year than the Spurs would be with LMA. If that is your belief, then I am not about to try and convince you otherwise. Its LMA that needs convincing.

Aldridge picking Spurs is not going to be a surprise.
Him waiting until tomorrow probably just to see if Knicks can top Lakers as the most cheesy presentation.
