He's nearly identical to Hayward in some key areas. Also, this further questions how in the hell he sees fewer minutes than Tucker at any point.

Crazy that for being as much of a non 3pt shooter as he is, Warren's only made 7 less 3s than Tucker...despite playing over 100 minutes less

It's even worse if you look at the 3PAr (3 point attempt rate). PJ takes nearly 3 times as many 3's per FG attempt, and still TJ has almost hit as many.

Hornets fan...

Reading through the board it sounds like there is some bad chemistry brewing and guys shutting down because hey have their money and don't want to deal with the tension in the clubhouse or stress on the court. It also sounds like the arena is not filled and the fans lacking in passion.

Do you think it's time to tear it down? I don't know if you could move Chandler's contract but definitely Markieff and Tucker, and either one of your PG's.

I'm not sure as a Hornets fan if we want another Lance Stephenson situation so how do you feel about Markieff as a teammate and as a player? The Hornets have some expiring contracts but otherwise no long term assets so not sure if we are a good match. Marvin Williams is a great clubhouse guy who is an expiring that matches up with Markieff. Al Jefferson matches up with Tucker and Markieff.

You guys are good at drafting. Len, Warren and Booker were all value picks. If you can tank and add another high profile prospect with a chance to be a star you may be alright. With more cap space would big free agents want to play for Hornacek?

Could we get Harkless + Leonard for Kieff? Neither guy has delivered on their potential though both would be after a sizeable raise I suspect.

I just can't see us getting a deal where the majority of Suns fans are happy. Casual fans will likely be like 'WTF is that all?!' whereas realists like readers of this forum will probably understand the reality that his value is only slightly higher than mine! Haha

I would do that.

I'm holding out hope we somehow land Terrence Jones. I'd even throw in the Cavs pick. But I have no idea what this last incident did to his value. He really hurt the odds of him leaving sooner than later imo. Moving him now is much more difficult.

Yeah I think BW has mentioned Marvin Williams for Markieff before. At this point... i think Suns might have to settle for something like that.

Regarding your other comments
Yes. Players, veterans, on big money seems to have tuned out.

Hence why some of us here would like more of a youth movement since the youth have something to prove hence they will play hard if the team asks them to and shows commitment to them.

Suns coach is a smart guy and probably ideal on a team with natural floor leadership. But on a team with little motivation retention... Especially with questionable substitution patterns...he appears to have lost the veterans trust and ears.

If we choose to blow it up here are some ideas.

Bledsoe for Peyton/Oladipo and Aaron Gordon

Kieff for Noah Vonleh

Chandler and Archie for Jokim Noah

Brandon Knight for Kmart and top3 protected 2016

Peyton/Price
Booker/Kmart
Warren/PJ
Gordon/Vonleh
Len/Noah

Its a major change and not all of them need to happen to move forward. We would suck but we do that already, so no harm.

If Detroit really wants Kieff to pair with Marcus, what do you guys think of this?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=gwxzxobChicago trades:

Taj Gibson
Nikola Mirotic

Chicago receives:

PJ Tucker
Ersan Illysova

Phoenix trades:

Markieff Morris
PJ Tucker
Archie Goodwin
CLE 1st rd pick

Phoenix recieves:

Stanley Johnson
Taj Gibson

Detroit trades:

Ersan Illysova
Stanley Johnson

Detroit receives:

Markieff Morris
Nikola Mirotic
Archie Goodwin
CLE 1st rd pick

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=gwxzxob

Pistons trade Stanley Johnson but they get two intriguing young prospects in Mirotic and Goodwin plus get to pair Kieff with his brother. Maybe it works out better for them than it did for us, they certainly have the better coach to make it work in SVG. Plus an extra 1st rd pick as well.

Bulls get the 3 & D wing they want so badly and also a stretch 4 that's having a better year than Mirotic. Clears their log jam at PF a bit as well.

Suns get a starting caliber PF in Gibson who can hit mid range shots and more importantly, play defense/protect the rim and bring some much needed toughness to the team. They also score a fan favorite from Arizona in Stanley Johnson to add their nucleus of young prospects.

Im probably one of the only ones on this board that would do this.

Would be tough to do. You'd be comparing the best or 2nd best jump shooter of all time to arguably the worst jump shooter of all time. If you're going for Rubio, the best you can hope for imo is Rondo-type production/play. He'll never be the offensive threat Nash was as a scorer/shooter/floor spacer.

I'm watching this Spurs-Rockets game and my goodness, Corey Brewer makes so many dumb plays and is such a frustrating player. No wonder Rockets fans despise this guy so much.

However, I've changed my mind on him, I think we should get him. He would fit in really well with the rest of our team because of how he plays.

Houston are 11-5 in their last 16 games.

That probably takes Howard off the table and they might stick with Jones and Lawson too who are for bench production.

Honestly Rubio might be our best option. If we had a pass first floor general PG our offense would be a thing of beauty. Imagine this...
Rubio
Booker
Warren
...
Len

In a couple of years that team would be deadly

Saw this on another forum and couldn't agree more...

McD has had the offseason and 30 games to get rid of Markieff. When Horry threw a towel at Ainge, he was gone in a week. This regime dithers too much ...

Would you call KJ a traditional pass first pg? He seemed to be able to turn on whichever gear was needed. Also, I don't know how much KJ you watched, but how would you compare him to Chris Paul?

AtheJ415 wrote:I really question how much NBA hoops some watch leaguewide given the exaggerated hot take comments that freuqently occur anytime one of these guys has a bad game. I bet it's mostly the Suns and the Warriors or Spurs.

I was watching some of the OKC/CHI game today when they beat the Thunder in OKC, and remember when SF88 said he this is a game we should easily win when we played them at home and also that we barely lost to them at home and also beat them on the road.

There really isn't a lot of separation except for maybe the top two, bottom two, and everyone else right now.

I will never cheer for us to lose until we are close to mathematically eliminated. Once projected odds give us, say, less than a 15% chance, I would probably be fine losing. I watch the games to pull for them to win. That's the fun and more usually this season and recent seasons, the heartbreak of it, for me. But if we don't make the playoffs, I certainly hope we have the 7th worst record, or maybe even a little worse than that, because I think once you get into 7th from the bottom, odds on moving up shift fairly dramatically each step closer to the worst. I am for once, happy that the east might have the 3 or 4 worst lottery picks this year which probably has only happened a handful of times over the last 25 years.

Let's look at this one with everyone at 26, comparing Bledsoe, Rondo, Westbrook, Goran, Jeff Teague, and Lowry.

Again, look at the effective FG%, and WS/48.

It certainly demonstrates how good Westbrook is. I wish Bledsoe seemed more vested all the time, but I probably even overreact a little more than is typical for me because I have watched pretty much every minute of every game this year which is kind of rare for me. Bledsoe is great when he his heart is in it. When it sometimes seems like it isn't, it is bothersome. That could be a coaching issue, but it seems pretty random. Like I could see him bring it the next four games and then look completely different, like he just is going through the motions in the next one, and then try for a couple, and then do that again.

Did you read that article that showed our guards net rating in wins vs losses? That was staggering.
