Bender might not be as good a player as Chriss but he's a better fit next to Booker.

Bender is already one of the Suns best defenders, which isn't saying a lot, but he's only 19 so....

Yeah, I've always been super impressed by his mobility defensively. One thing as an outsider I've always been curious about is how he fits with Chriss long-term, whether they can play the 4-5 spots together or if it's one or the other.

Chriss reminds me of Gerald Wallace in that he always seems to find his way on is ass after plays.

Sucks to see Booker go cold in the second half after his beastly first half performance but I'm happy with the result as we get back on track for the tank. :D

"long-term" isn't really in the Suns lexicon just yet, especially with these two teen-agers. Anything is possible at this time.

God damn Quese put up 27 tonight? Great scoring from him and Book tonight, we're a terrible defensive team though.

It's kind of difficult to keep it going when you have to create every shot yourself. I don't think I've ever seen a team with worse ball movement than this Suns team. We don't run any plays to successfully get Booker an open look, our point guard doesn't seem to understand the concept of feeding the hot hand and our offensive philosophy seems to be: 'Lets dribble the ball and see what happens'.

I didn't watch the game, but how does a Bucks team score 137 on us? Is our defence really that bad?

I wouldn't go that direction assuming our pick is as high as projected. Really with Jackson you are gambling on him being able to develop a jumper. If he can't improve in that area and continues to be unable to shoot free throws then I don't know what he is at the next level. Kind of like a more explosive MKG.

Young guys simply tend to suck at defense. That's why our team sucks at it. Going forward they will improve.

I think spacing is every bit as important as defense. If we're top 2 I think it's fairly obvious that Fultz or Ball should be picked.

I like Fultz more, but I don't think that we will end up with the top pick. Josh Jackson is my number two in the draft regardless of fit, I just think he fits us perfectly too. Josh Jackson can be our modern day Shawn Marion, except he's better at creating for himself off the dribble and setting up teammates than Marion was. I wouldn't be mad at Lonzo either, don't get me wrong, but I'm a huge Josh Jackson fan.

Was at the game. As some know i consider both these teams my dual favorite teams so just wanted to see the young guys play well.

Overall the suns d sucked but i have to say the bucks couldn't miss in the 1st half.

Giannis is really something to see in person; dude is a problem on both ends of the court. Parker is nice too.

Booker was great in second quarter. He needs help to be the player he can be. At times tries to do to much.

Chriss is tantalizing. If dude shoots the 3 like he did tonight he's going to a handful to defend. Hes pretty much the player i thought he was coming out of the draft. I still have no idea if he makes it but goddamn does he drip with upside.

Yeah, our defense ths season is probably the worst in the history of the franchise. It's THAT bad.

We can't get a single stop. Every attack ends with a basket, a foul or an offensive rebound...it is disgusting.

I know that they are young, but Booker, Warren (post injury) and Chriss are bad defenders...they need help to stop his man at every possession.

And even our "good" defenders have massive lapses. Bled forgets how to give effort sometimes. PJ is guaranteed at least 1 dumb foul a game. He is probably the dumbest good defender in the league. I'm not sure if that's a compliment lol.

Then there's Tyson, who would let a 2 foot man get a shot off in the key if he wanted to.

And let's not forget our supreme bench of LB, BK and Len. The first two have never been close to + defenders. Len puts in effort but gets caught out of position so regularly.

So yeah, it's dark.

I have a question for you guys. Does this hurt or help the argument for re-signing PJ Tucker? I know which side of the argument I'm on. I just wonder when you have 5 leaky holes in your boat do you invest in enough material to fix one hole that will only last a short time or do you just invest in a bigger pail to bail out all the water quicker?
