#FreeBender

Also surprised to read that McD and Earl were at odds for most of the time. Thought they got along well, maybe McD saw through the lies

One thing I am excited for now is to see possibly see Bender start with Jackson. I hope we also start Len. That could be our best defensive unit. Have Warren come off the bench because we need that spark plug. Mike James likes to attack the basket, so he could build some chemistry with a cutting Warren.

David Blatt would be a great choice for a rebuilding team. His only flaw is managing egos, but that shouldn't be a problem in Phoenix.

What pick would you give for Alvin Gentry?

my pick for HC would be to try and pry Igor Kokoskov from Utah.

hopefully he brings some of that Snyder X's and O's over and he + McDonough can get on the same page.

Yeah I'd love to get Blatt here if he has interest in leaving Turkey.

Only a season late but glad it's done. Players probably stoked they'll never have to do an extended yoga sesh again.

Sorry to see you guys didn't get off to a good start. Didnt think Watson was ready to be a HC. McDonoagh made the mistake of listening to his players too much and bring him back.

If Triano takes over, you will continue to see no defence and continued blow outs unfortunately.

Earl Watson i think WILL be a solid Head coach at some point but he was given the head job way too soon in my opinion. He should have had 3 to 5 seasons as a Asst. coach before he was even considered for any head job in the league. I see that tweet about offense being too simple and that falls on Watson but the rest of the staff needs to take the heat for it too. Specially Triano who i believe was hired from the Blazers JUST to be a mentor type to Watson.

I believe the Suns did the right thing but it never should have happened cause Watson was not ready for the job so the Owner and GM need to take some heat too

Thats the big question now, Chicken or the egg. Did Earl get fired first, Bledsoe found out and made that post before it was leaked to the media, or was Bledsoe just frustrated and asking to be traded and Watson was fired 30 minutes lates because of the whole dumpster fire.

Podcast on Empire of the Suns: http://arizonasports.com/story/1287260/phoenix-suns-fire-earl-watson-eric-bledsoe/

Apparently one of the players texted "he had to go" to Craig Grialou. Also the inbounding situation they talk about at 8:30 is telling how prepared we are.

I don't think Spurs would let him go without some compensation. But man, I would love Messina on this team.

Hopefully this interim label is shot, but I don't recall any mid season hires from outside of the staff. I'm sure it's happened but it doesn't seem like it does very often.

Most teams allow assistants to leave for a head coaching gig. Its just when a Head Coach wants to make a lateral move to another Head Coaching gig elsewhere that compensation comes into play.

Yes but it's still up to front office discretion right? I never even heard of HC compensation until a few seasons ago.
