I’m so hyped for the game December 18th here.

Living in Dallas I only get to see the Suns in person 1-2x a year, and this will be the first time I got lower bowl seats, and they were actually free as I have a connect with the Mavs so he gave me his employee tickets.

Hopefully I get a picture with Booker and an autograph or something

Congrats on the win, too good for us tonight, btw no real 76ers fan would trade Simmons for whoever, respect to Booker though, he had a great game. Got a few questions; do you see Bender playing PF and Josh Jackson SF long term? Who do you think would be best fit for you in the next draft given you guys will have a pretty good pick? It looks like a good draft to be in in terms of having a top 5 pick.

He's clearly at least 5 better than Devin, I mean the World Wide Leader in Sports wouldn't risk their sterling reputation just flinging crap at a wall right?

Bender can really play all 3 forward spots so I don't really have a preference on where he eventually settles. I still see Warren as the long term option until Jackson has shown more than he has. I think we're very likely going to take one of the bigs at the top of the draft. My guy would be Ayton.

I think you guys would be a pretty scary outfit with an Ayton - long term I think you need a better guard to play alongside Booker. I think Bender is one in particular who will be a lot better with a young goliath next to him and it will definitely cover Booker on the defensive end. Its not as if the Suns are deficient in talent - I think they need the right piece in the draft to unlock the potential of the other players they have.

I don't know who the consensus wants, though from posts here my guess is it would be Ayton. But saying we had the #1 pick for these purposes, it might partly depend on whether or not they think Doncic can basically run the point.

It obviously also comes down to who our FO feels is BPA. If they have a tier of Ayton/Doncic/Bagley and have them all rated equally, my guess is they'd probably take Ayton.

However, we are so desperate for 3 pt shooting overall and another offensive presence outside of what Booker and Warren bring, that they could go Doncic, particularly if they think he can be a transcendent NBA player and could run point.

It's tough for us to focus on one need though because we desperately need defense and 3 pt shooting. But we don't have a C or PG of the future either.

Personally I have to see more of the college season. We desperately need a legit PG and C though. As for PF of the future, who knows? I think Bender is a smart player, has good instincts, can be a good defender, pass well and has shot well, but he's still really raw and doesn't get a lot of touches. We need better ball movement but it's improving, and when DB and TJ are by far our best scorers it's kind of hard to go away from them so sometimes (seems pretty often) Bender and Chriss only have like a combined 5 shots.

If we don't jump top 3 and somehow end up with like the 6th or 7th pick, it would probably be a choice between like Bamba (if there), Jackson, Carter, Sexton. Then with Miami's pick if it conveys a PG if we take a C with the earlier pick.

A lot of people like Trae Young as well.

As for Jackson, his play is coming along a lot slower than we had hoped. He can be really good defensively, but offensively he is extremely sloppy.

Barring winning a top 3 pick I think Jaren Jackson is a McDonough type player and he'd be willing to target him in our range or trade up if needed.

Huge Wingspan Center with elite athleticism, mobility and defensive upside both as rim protector and switching to the perimter, also shows signs of an outside shot with good numbers at 3 point and FT over the past 12 months at HS or College.

I'd love Ayton but knowing the Suns bad luck with the draft we will be drafting outside of the top 5 and Ayton will be gone.

Their takes on Booker are great as well.

Yep, he's "inefficient garbage that gets hot once in a great while"

What a cesspool of salt that board is

Guess they haven't watched him play all year. He is getting better and better every season, showing sure signs of progression and he is so so so so young still, imagine what he will be like at 25-26 years old.

I wonder if the big minutes was planned for a back-to-back and we'll be resting a few tomorrow?

Or if it was just a necessity to get the win.

Doncic would play the point for the Suns - that would be an unreal offence and basically a must-watch for the casual fan, not so sure about the defence. Still, there are a lot of quality bigs in this draft, not just at the top of it. Something could be got in the second round for sure.

Who would guard PGs? Start Jackson and have him guard PGs and move Warren to 6th-man role?

I wish we could throw Bender and Chriss into a machine and blend them together into one player.

From what i see, Bender just seems so passive on offense. At this point he is almost regulated to being strictly a 3 point shooter as i rarely see him venture anywhere near the paint. And even then, its like his first instinct is to pass the ball, but when he does that and he's wide open, it take a second or two for it to click in that he should shoot the ball instead of passing it, and by that time his defender has already made his way to covering him.

Chriss on the other hand seems all too ready to shoot the ball, even if it means a bad shot with defenders draped all over him. I know stats say other wise, but from my eye, they both seem about equal on defense. Chriss more so blocking bigs in the paint, while bender coving smaller guys and coming up with a steal or block.

Now im not even close to giving up on them like some of the board already has, but its kinda frightening in a way. I expected Chriss to be the more NBA ready player from day one, but expected Bender to eventually pass Chriss and have the higher ceiling (Due to what was touted as him having an all around game). But it seems like they are both on equal footing and nowhere near where i was expecting them to be coming into their 2nd season. Yes i know bigs take longer to develop, im just worried that we dont have the right guys developing them as their games (How they play) are rather weak and lackluster.

I don’t know if his offense is sloppy (JJ) that and 1 spin move on the fast break wasn’t sloppy. His shot is ugly, his dribble in traffic is sloppy, but he shows a lot of agility on offense and determination getting to the hoop. Lol....Not you, but people in general are looking at the things he can’t do yet and is no surprise versus what he can do, like pick Simmmons pocket one on one.

Can’t wait to revisit the JJ hot takes in two years. People aren’t even giving him a chance to be Booker’s running mate. Again not you.

This but we'd still need a veteran PG to come in. Can't expect an 18 year old to run the show and not frustrate the Kentucky Duo, unless Knight is our savior haha

I expect him to be much improved. I'm a JJ fan obviously. But I've watched all the games and think currently his offense is sloppy at times. I think he works hard enough to improve that though.
