Any good draft and stash prospects around #31?

Thats pretty much it.
Its kinda of interesting that everyone we have brought in and worked out has been guys that would most likely be considered for our #31 pick. Something tells me that if we cant use our picks to move up then we will be keeping the player we get at #31 and most likely trading the #16 for an already established Vet.

I think we need to pick up some wing shooting ability badly with these later first round picks. Its sucks that it feels hard to find in this draft.
I would love one of Musa, Knox, or either of the Bridges at 16. All of them have a good stroke and enough game that they could turn into something.

I was thinking about this too - the best players we've brought in so far would be a reach at 16. I don't know how many of these workouts they get to do, but either they're waiting to bring in the better guys for that 16th pick or they fully intend on trading it.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Every year we invite anyone with a pulse for a work out. This is probably just a coincidence that these guys were first to work out for us. That being said, I hope we trade that #16 pick for a vet.

NBAdraft.net has the Suns taking Shamet at 16. He is interesting. The combine was not as good to him as he would have liked. He is 6-5 but only had a 6-6.5 wingspan and an 8-3 standing reach. It means that while he is 6-5, he is going to play like 6-3. His shooting is stellar though. He will be a mediocre point guard who shoots well. I am not a fan of Knox at all. The Tankathon review of his stats is one of the most damning evaluations of any potential lottery pick I have ever seen.

I would love to have get Bridges (Mikal), but I think we have to get up to 7-9 to get him. And then we still need a pg.

Grayson is meh. Inconsistent at pretty much everything. Very modest improvement over 4 years at Duke which is quite concerning. At least to me.
I can name you at least 4 better shooting guards right now, available in late first to second round - Huerter, DiVincenzo, Newman, Okogie.

Whatever. The kid KILLED the combine. Very solid player, going to be a harder working JJ Redick, but with an edge. Much better defender, much better passer (Almost 5 assists a game as a SG!), and can be deadly with the 3 ball. He is that A-Hole you hate playing against, but LOVE having on your team. Perfect guy to bring off the bench behind Booker, or even given spot minutes next to him.

Re: The #16 and #31 Discussion Thread
I'm against taking a guard with our other two picks. None of the guys past pick 10 or 11 in this draft seem good enough to qualify for the BPA treatment. This roster is already stacked with guards we can't find enough playing time for.
If we traded up for Trae Young or something, that's obviously a different story.
The key with later first round picks is to get guys who could see the court immediately. We could use a 3-5 off the bench who can shoot the three. At the 16th pick, Musa or Knox would get some PT this year and actually have a chance to develop.

Well, there is only about 5 PF/C's in almost all mocks, in the #16-59 range. As i said before, there is a huge shortage in bigs this draft (Besides all the ones available in the top 10). Tankathon's mock has probably the most i have seen in a mock with a total of 13 going in the entire draft.

Plenty of guards/wings with 7 foot wingspans who shot the 3 well in college, though. Guess that makes sense since we're turning all teams into the Warriors.
