I'd like to see our perimeter guys work on lobs with Ayton. He's had some clear lanes to the basket, but no one seems to be able to toss him the ball.

On that last lob attempt, he should've came down with the ball, gathered himself, and then went up.He seems absolutely petrified of attempting shots in traffic, tho.

Teams clog they lane to stop his roll to the basket, so we are getting open threes from Crowder, Bridges, Cam... Utah is doing the same tonight. IF they change that, you will see more buckets from Ayton in the paint.

Crazy that I look at shot charts on NBA.com and Cam Johnson hasn't even attempted a field goal, Galloway is 0-2, Saric is 0-3, and Ayton is 1-5, and we up by 13.

That's 7 points less than if they shot 33%.

I'm beginning to think it's the gameplan unless it's the 4th quarter. I mean when you got like 5 players who are shooting over 40% from 3, statistically it's a better shot I guess?

I prefer the dunk, easy lay up and potential foul then an open 3. We need his confidence up.

If he has one guy on him or less, he usually shoots, but if there are 2 he usually finds the open guy and it works...I think trying to post up against a double team is far worse than passing out for an open 3, but apparently many disagree.

A lot of centers of the distant past as well as Barkley intentionally drew a double team deep into the paint to pass it out for an open 3.

For whatever reason, he tries to direct others on D. He has been better one on one this season, though he still gives 3 pt shooters he is guarding way too much space (he practically stands in the paint) and would never have time to close out against someone with a quick release.
