I think Orlando makes a lot of sense as a trade partner. Their front office seems just as inept as any. I'd like to see Aaron Gordon in a Suns uni, and they aren't using him right. Something like...

Gordon/Vooch for Knight/Chandler

Celtics make a lot of sense also, but I wouldn't want to get fleeced like the IT Trade.

Dudley/Chandler/Len for A. Johnson/T. Zeller/and the 2018 Brooklyn Pick

:dontknow:

*Edit x 2: Len makes more sense than Tucker or Knight for the Celts trade.

The thing with Len - that draft was so bad, and he is a big guy, hate to give up on him. Granted, the 12th pick in the same draft is doing damn well at Center for OKC, in Adams. Hindsight :banghead:

I think Tucker has to be a solo piece - better value. And a team - Raptors could probably use him since they were looking at Millsaps - granted not the score, but the defender. They have young players that might work.

Tyson is still out there but with Lens inconsistencies, can the team trade Chandler for just "cap relief"

Do you really feel that way about Adams? To me he can't do jack squat on his own. He is just a hustle big man that plays decent defense and rolls alright. Are we expecting to much from Len?

Adams is not just a hustle big man. Way way better than Len. Len blocks more shots because he challenges more but Adams defends consistently very well... Reliable big man.
Doesnt force things offensively either... Resets plays when he cant get a good shot.

He's not on a path to stardom but I like Adams quite a bit. He won't carry your team but you know you can expect a solid game from him most every night.

Man I've been checking out the GB and Trade Forum. Some Pelicans fan insists on trading AD and enjoys the team without em. Someone posted a trade for Butler where the Bulls get Jaylen Brown, 2017 Nets 1st and 2018 Celtics pick and people are saying it's fair. I think we could offer better value for Butler without giving up the farm as well. I doubt AD would get traded but man, I'd trade everyone and all assets but Booker to get my hands on that 1-2 punch (Booker/AD).

Trade Machine Challenge:

Find a way for the Suns to acquire Myles Turner without giving up Booker/Warren/Chriss/Bender.

My strategy:

Bledsoe, Chandler, Milsap to Indy
Turner and filler to Phoenix
Suns send a decent future 1st to Atl + maybe Brandon Knight and/or filler to make the saleries work.

Problem: Indy seems like it must send back a top 6 rotation player and gut its bench to make the salaries work.

I think Indy laughs you out of the room every time. They are very high on him.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

After watching him intentionally sabotage his team the other night against Miami, I wouldn't trade Knight for Butler straight up. I wouldn't take him for any reason whatsoever. The man is a locker room problem, that rep has been with him for a long time and it's deserved. Yes, he's a good player but it takes a certain type of coach and a certain type of team to keep that kind of person in check and we have neither the coach nor the team. And I doubt it matters who you have in the long run, he will always return to making it about himself.

This is like offering Young, Miles for Booker.
Or Chandler, Knight for Porzingis.... Pacers are that HIGH on Turner and they should be.

Jimmy Butler to BOS
BKN pick to PHX
?? To CHI?

Probably starts with Bledsoe, Chandler... With us taking Rondo and buying him out.

Bledsoe to Denver makes a lot of sense for both teams I think. They would be completing their playoff push - and I think ultimately making the playoffs as a 5-7 seed, as they have Utah, OKC and Memphis ahead of them now. Not world beaters at all.
They have some young guys who can't get enough playing time, and were pretty high draft picks, plus they have a couple contracts which are not-so-terrible-with-the-new-cap.
For me a trade around Bledsoe, and getting back one of Mudiay/Murray+Nurkic/Arthur/Faried+draft pick would be OK.
At least better than standing around, wasting his prime and waiting for the inevitable knee injury in 1-2-3 years of time.
Thoughts?

Well, it was three games ago - talking about pushing for 8 or tanking.

Well the team is 0-3.

The tank is on. YOu can make or break, win or lose, that's the chance you take, when the tank is on you... and the tank is on

Tucker - needs to go
Knight - needs to go
Bledsoe - listen - the value will never be higher
Chandler - hmm, the idea of seeing Len though, I don't like it

Lonzo Ball - come on down!!

that's a day McD would love to have back

Knight trade was a reaction to the Dragic and Thomas deals
Dragic seems to be okay
Thomas - I think it helped get Marquess Chriss
but damn, the combo of the Knight and Thomas deals
and Thomas's contract is so good

... for one more year. You have to decide what to pay a 5' 9" PG putting up insane shooting stats that has never won a playoff series. Are you the GM that will give him $20M+ a year?

If our GM is happy to pay Len $18m, I think he'd take Thomas $25m.

I'd like to keep him for 13, but that ain't happening as well. It's gonna take at least 16 mill, and that might not do it...

You have to remember any deal involving Knight isn't netting us a good player. My sense is, at best, we get back a bad contract, a contract of a player who is overpaid and underperforming (like Evan Turner), or a 2nd rounder and expirings.

I don't see the C's trading the 2018 pick for those guys as I think they know it'll be another top 5 pick.
The Nets picks are ones you use to get Jimmy Butler. If I'm Chicago, I'd demand both of those and a player like Smart or something.

I think if Chicago is dealing Butler, they are in full fledge rebuild mode.
For that deal to work, we'd have to add our unprotected first to Chicago too and that still likely doesn't get a deal done with them.

Listening to NBA radio yesterday, they were indicating that Chicago is going to want the world for him as he's become one of the best 2 way players in the league.
