Would like to remind people they can pm me or the cocommishes qwigglez and bw, or really any other member in the league with their shortlist if they feel they are unable to pick their players.

Things can also happen in real life that can take their attention away.

But we have a 24 hour clock for a reason and we also start the draft 2 weeks before the NBA season begins for cases like this.

If the full 24 hours elapses (not 23 hours 59 minutes...24) then it's ok to go ahead and pick without waiting for a green light from us commishes.

Next year we need to change the 24 hour window to a 12 hour one. Put that up to a vote please.

We've never failed to finish a draft on time. Aside from maintaining hype during the draft I don't see what the issue is. Everyone knows what the rules are going into the draft because they are available to read on page 1 for several years now.

Who do we send our Priority List again? Will just send it in advance so we can hasten the pace of draft a bit.

It’s only 145pm here in NZ.

Anyone wanting to send a short list in order of preference, feel free to PM me.

As others have mentioned this is a pretty rare international league, so some time can get away from us at various times. So far we’ve only had (I think) 1 pick run a little long, pretty good considering how many are in the draft and where we all call home

Id probably go for a 12 hour window next year- the 24 hour winfow leaves for dull stretches, which only makes it easier for managers to forget about a pick coming up.

We've got like 5 rounds total, and only 2 left. We're fine.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Well some of us like following preseason games to refine our selections. If we went to 12 hours I would vote for moving the start date later to see more preseason action.

Yeah, these picks tend to have long-term ramifications, so more research is needed. Premier is flying through our draft because it's a 1-season commitment.

No need to blitz out picks here.

Then we should have a vote move the entire draft to until after the preseason, because in this case, by sheer lucky timing, some managers have an advantange over others. Which is probably impossible, so it should be moved to entirely before the preseason to even the odds again.

I doubt more than 1 or 2 people are making picks based on a preseason game or two. I understand the frustration of waiting....it can be annoying. Most of us have been around here for years so have had to live through frustrations of waiting and have simply just gotten used to it.
