Trading Bledsoe is not the answer. He's not on a cap-killing contract, and pretty much has no weaknesses on the court. He's a very very good starting point guard, and will only continue to improve.

I have no idea why people keep wanting to trade Bledsoe.

Got to build around Len, Bledsoe and Warren.

Because Knight is hard to trade... Knight cant be traded in draft night.

Hence Bledsoe is used for any trades that involves picks... and multiple players going out.

If we add a 35 year old it means you plan on winning the championship within 2 years.

If that's the case we should have just done Bledsoe, Dragic, Tucker, Gasol, Gortat.

If we're rebuilding then it should be Bledsoe, Knight, Warren, PF, Len.

Any combination would mean not really rebuilding or not really contending.

If it helps the team -you trade them . That's what I think

And for me, there is only one player that I care that is back in 2015-16 season - Brandon Wright. I don't think he will be that expensive. I think he fills a very good role and just getting his peak as a player. Everybody else open for business.

there is a litany of what ifs in recent Suns history
what if Joe Johnson doesn't get hurt
what if Danny Manning - that's almost 20 years ago, doesn't get hurt
but two things stand out

1) not trading Amare for Garnett -

2) Sarver pocketing the $18m (I get it, he is owner, its his money) - but if they really could have traded Shaq for Ben and flipped Ben for Tyson - that team would have won the title. As it was, they lost in 6 to the Lakers in the WCF. Oh well

I am okay with Amare and Chandler on one year deals. But the key thing is - what to do with the Morris twins and Tucker and the young players. Don't panic and do something stupid but kind of need a change in players

Thinking about adding a veteran player with leadership's skills. ...what about Chuck Hayes? I know that he is not a rotation player anymore, but he can be great at the end of the bench playing for the minimun. He can play some minutes if necessary, good defender and great IQ.
He and Andre Miller are my favourite cheap options to bring leadership.

Been playing with the idea of a trade and rebuild built around the following:

Trade for Pau Gasol (Just posted on T&T) Tucker, plus #13 and Cavs #1 for Gasol and 2016 CHI #2
Get Knight to sign for the QO so he can sign a more lucrative deal next year and give the Suns cap flexibility this year.
After the previous deals sign either a premier Center (Gasol, Jordan, Chandler) or break up the deals into signing Matthews, and re-upping Wright and Green.
**Also secretly hoping that Fenerbache Ulkers financial troubles give Bogdanovic an out to come to the NBA this year**

Knight/ Matthews/ Bullock
Granger/ Warren/
Pau/ Kieff/ Mook
Len/ Wright

We would still have a $5.5 mil TPE to use for help with a backup vet at the 1 or 2 as well as vet mins.

Granger has a player option next year, and he doesn't know if he will exercise it at this point of the offseason.

If #2 is a part of the question, then #1 is irrelevant. People can hate on the Morii for their attitudes and legal issues, but at the end of the day they are good young players on amazing contracts. Dumping them for a negative asset would be astronomically stupid.

That's true. But the way I see the Morris twins - is they are part of the problem and not the solution. So, the Suns are not trading them because of their ability - they are trading them because they seem to not "non team players." Maybe I am being very subjective. But their actions last year were selfish and about the two of them and not the team. Is that a one year thing or a trend for the future.

I think a guy like PJ Tucker will be easy to trade if you want. He has a reasonable dollar value per year - a good presence for the right team making a playoff push.

According to McDuh.... he's wants players that fit into some loosely defined 'Culture' who are team players... we'll see. But I sense hollow words and tied hands here as the MoBros have opted for the orange jumpsuit lifestyle.

Would be nice to clear off their salary before FA hunting season begins. And to be honest, I have little to no use for Tucker at this point. He was our 'hard working veteran' who overslept/partied on his leadership role. Gladly move him for a late/future pick. All his minutes can be better spent on someone else.

Good point, Frank. If Tucker was providing enough veteran leadership to compensate for his lack of talent, we wouldn't be hearing from the FO about how we need a veteran leader. I think he goes in the right deal for sure.
