I'd rather Len work Tim Duncan rather than waste money working with Hakeem Olawajan at his "big man camp".

Thank God, Dantoni would be camping him in the corner like Pau Gasol.

Heat fans will understand this very quickly... as soon as he's fouling 3's nonstop or shooting with 21s in the clock or even when he's dribbling just to create an easy turnover for them.
I wish him all the best, but i'm SOOOO GLAD he's gone.
He wasnt a better defender than IT, and he fit the system better, because he was a true wing.
When he started for us when Bledsoe was out 2 seasons ago, our offence was pure fire, and Green was playing insane.
He probably was the most unappreciated Sun we've had in recent history.
Not to mention he was 110% pure class while he was with us despite his role and minutes being yanked from him to give to a 5'9 selfish ball-hogging chucker, especially after coming off his career 2013-2014 season.

Green might not be a ball-hogger but he is definitely a chucker. Last season we had too many chuckers and we got rid of them.

Timmy has the sort of game that is perfect for Alex to model. They have very similar physical abilities: not a lot of hops but really mobile, agile, strong in the core.
Hopefully Alex shows some improvement when we play through him at the elbow. That's where Timmy makes his money and where Alex wants to. A good elbow game completely frees up movement off the ball and gives open lanes for the guards if there's shooters on the floor to space it.

Great point. Having one shooter at the elbow (especially a big man) doesn't crowd the perimeter (ideally 4 out) and is still far enough to open the key, but is still in position to make a roll to the basket or pass to any player on the perimeter that is open. I like the physical comparison to Timmy as well.

I get your point but I think Duncan and Len are not similar at all, even phisically they are too much different. He can not play like Duncan even if he wants to copy his movements,it is not that easy.
It is not possible because Duncan is a Top 10 player in the history of the game and he is a very unique player, and Len is a backup C with potential, but that is all at this point.
He can be a good two-way C one day, like Gortat or Asik for example, and that would be a good thing for us.

Nobody is saying he can be Duncan... He is much more similar in terms of build to Duncan (solid but not elite athletically), and it would be nice if he modeled a high post/mid range game after Duncan. Asik is slow AF so maybe you're just comparing them because they're European (this happens all the time in player evaluations). He has much, much more potential than Asik. Gortat may be a better comparison but the Asik comparison is

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
Well the good news is Alex is probably better with his eyes closed than Asik is normally on offense. So your dreams him becoming a 'good two way' center are already half true!
Of course he can mimic parts of Timmy's game. Unless I'm missing something and Alex didn't actually go to San Antonio to learn from Timmy and instead just wanted to hang out with him and talk life and politics. I'm sure Timmy would been down for that too.

Now thats funny. I wonder who Marcus thinks would start at the 3 in that situation.

Honestly, it puts on pressure, because Keef is going to hear about it and want to be on the same team with Marcus. Chess match going on.

Kieff wont hear about it, because Kieff ignited it. I am feeling more and more confident that the "I want to be with Phoenix" is a stage act to increase his value. Now they stage this "trade interest" from the team that - oh, wow - his brother plays! And he will refuse it and say "I love my brother but I will stay with my team, because I am a team player and therefore I am worth more than a 2nd round pick"
And then by mid-season he is gone for something that is worth a dime.

I mean, but really. The Pistons are laughing.
Couple problems. One, we want to win games this year, and trading Markieff would hurt in that respect. Two, there's really no plausible trade we could make with Pistons. They'd have to toss draft picks around, because they won't move KCP, Stanley or Drummond, and that's all the value there is on that roster. So the only way to make this happen is - Pistons send picks to third team, who sends us a starting PF.
And no, Ilyasova for Keef is not gonna cut it.
But... good to know that there is a market out there. We gotta move him eventually.

Fwiw, notwithstanding the consequences this season, I'd do
Keef + Archie + Bogdan + Pick for Johnson and Ily
.. but they wouldn't.

+ 1 billion
I like Reggie Jackson and Brandon Jennings, but I don't like them more then Bledsoe/Knight and we have enough PG's.
We need Drummond or Stanley and no way Detroit gives up them.
Detroit actually has a pretty good future with Jackson at PG, Drummond in the middle, and Stanley at SF.
I see why they want Keef though. He'd be the perfect stretch 4 on that team.
