Well there would need to be a 3rd team involved somehow because the Knicks cant absorb that Parsons contract without Memphis being willing to take back crap contracts from the Knicks which makes no sense.

Giving up Bender and a possible top 5 pick (only #1 protected) next year to move from #16 - #9 seems high.

But holy ****...the athleticism, shooting, and potential of this lineup

-Trae
-Booker
-JJ
-Chriss
-Ayton

With TJ as a 6th man OR possible starting at the 4 in place of Chriss (if Chriss sucks).

I'm OK with it.

Bulls can take back Parsons - no questions asked. Or they can ship a guy like Asik to limit the expense. The Bulls have the 7th pick

The Clippers have a guy like Harris to offer or Galinari - but that is not losing the salary just replacing with possibly a better player and they have TWO Picks

The Suns - as I wrote can limit future salary for Parsons - but, the pick at 16 is very low to move down to save a bunch of cash - but the Suns can give other first round picks.

Somebody mentioned Orlando and Grizzlies switching to the Grizzlies take Fournier but that is still an expense - just spread out over three years I believe

If we did do that Knicks trade, would we then go after Randle to be our PF?

I believe it wont be just him falling either, i think Shai will be taken by the Hornets at #11 and Sexton will get snagged right after by the Clippers.

Suns, Kings, Hawks, Grizz, Mavs, Magic, Cavs, Bulls, Knicks.

Teams need a pg are in bold. With the Suns and Hawks, it's too early to draft Trae. It would be really cool if Doncic was there when Orlando is up. That only leaves the Cavs and they need everything.

I am not sure the Suns have the cap space to go after Randle actually. Plus they would be using future assets to get the pick which makes it tougher to move Dudley or Chandler. Granted either could be stretched but do you really want money being tied up in the cap.

Interesting name though. I really would think the Suns would need defense at the 4 and back up guard. Its why I mentioned McCaw as the Warriors are restricted with their cap what they can pay him.

Hawks still have Schroder....and a new coach that hasnt dealt with him before. Is Trae that much of an upgrade over Dennis? But still, thats 4 out of the top 10 teams that could use an upgrade at the point.

Only two in his draft range.

Yes, Trae is that much of an upgrade over Dennis. Or he better be if we like him that much. He's the best shooter and 2nd best passer in this draft...very close to Doncic...I've seen him make some great passes..

sign me up - just would need defense at the 4; I forget about Shaq. I mention McCaw but we have Shaq -- he would be a nice defender with Knight, Booker and Young.

who knows this might just work out ok!

So, I know I'm a little late but just wanted to address Ayton's comments on wanting a second contract as his motivation.

Little background, my mom and her family are from a village called Los Banos (no joke, I know what it translates as) in the Philippines. She came from such extreme poverty that money has been her major motivator. It drove her to survive, attend school, work up from nothing, earn degrees, and move to America chasing her dreams. She's more than succeeded, but still is driven to achieve more, to earn more.

Money can be a very powerful motivator, especially so if you've experienced extreme poverty and want to make sure no one in your family ever experiences it again. From all accounts it sounds like Ayton has experienced that poverty, we who have not experienced that type of struggle may not fully understand why it's a powerful motivator and will continue to be no matter how much money he makes.

Anyways, just my two cents.
