There is no risk you lose him for nothing, and particularly since most teams have used their cap space, our situation is MUCH better than it was a month ago.

I understand his whole contract situation very much. My concern is his health. That is literally the only reason I would and am willing to trade him. Knee problems don't go away and really its only a matter of time before it surfaces again. We dodged one bullet with Eric Gordon, I would hate to be an I told you so guy 2 years down the road. Give me a center that has played in all but like 10 games over 4 years that avgs 15/10 on a terrible team over a dude that has "potential"......potential to be a 20/6/6 as well as a permanent on the IR. Bledsoe has a terribly concerning injury history and i feel like many suns fans are blinded by his mini lebron flash in the pan potential. Eric Bledsoe WILL MISS SIGNIFICANT TIME IN HIS NEXTCONTRACT.

Agree 100%

@PaulCalvisi: RT @Schultz_Report: Hearing that Lakers have moved to front of Eric Bledsoe sign-and-trade line. Suns want Julius Randle + HOU first-rounder

@PaulCalvisi: RT @Schultz_Report: Hearing Lakers willing to go close to max for Bledsoe. Kobe loves his game. Suns like Jordan Hill & his tradability 2015

I am going to start a twitter page and start posting random rumors and say I am hearing them from sources. That is about how credible some of these people are. This is ridiculous.

Sources tell me that Bledsoe doesnt want to play for the Suns because PJ Tucker pissed in his cornflakes, and he wants to go to the Lakers so he can sleep with Steve Nash's wife.

Me too. Reading all these facts exhausts me.

You lose a lot of things basing everything off analytics. Mainly you lose the human factor (most important factor). Situations, coaching, players not put into situations that play to their strengths, team chemistry, etc, etc. Steve Nash is a perfect example. Once he was put into the right situation he became an MVP. Analytics should only be used for about 5% of evaluation.

come on now a shot chart is not some subjective advanced stat like win share or even PER. It's is a fact; those are the % of shots he made from those spots.

Now it is up for debate if those numbers would rise in the suns o but it's far from a sure thing. I don't buy that being away from Drummond would help since with the suns he would face the other teams best post defender every night and heck those % could go down. The argument for him improving would be playing with better guards and getting the ball in a better position to score. Defensively he is who he is. Big body but not a rim protector at all. He would be good paired with a guy like serge ibaka.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Isn't there a rule that a player can't be traded after they just signed? Don't know how we could get Hill and Randle since they signed recently. Sauces confirm?

I absolutely trust our medical staff, and there's a reason why we are offering 4 not 5 years to bledsoe. I'm sure they signed off on grdons knee too and look what happened. I don't want money wrapped up In an injury prone guard. Period.

As been stated a few times over the past 15 pages (which many people decided to skip due to unnecessary BS), Hill hasnt "officially put ink to paper" on his deal yet, and Randle can be traded mid August.

So a deal COULD be worked out and agreed to, but would have to wait about a month to be official.

If you give Monroe 4/48, Pistons will match.

Here's a question...if by offering both of them 4/56 you guarantee we get both, without giving up any assets other than cap space, do you do it? An extra 4 mill in salary every year for next four but you get to have that core. Assuming that you then give dragic the same contract next year, that's locking up 3 stars for what will be around 55% of the cap once the new cba rolls around.

letsgosuns wrote:I would offer Bledsoe 5 years, 60 million. Still 12 million a year but he also gets an extra year of security. He has not proven to be a max player yet and paying him a max now is outrageous. I also do not believe any of these garbage rumors with the Lakers. No way. You think the Suns want to trade Bledsoe to the Lakers and watch him flourish on their most heated rival? I cannot see that happening. Trading a dwindling Steve Nash to the Lakers is one thing. Trading a 24 year old potential superstar point guard to them is another. I imagine Bledsoe is still most likely going to be on the Suns next year unless the Suns get blown away with a sign and trade offer. And by blown away I mean something like the Bucks offering Jabari Parker for him, which is never going to happen. The talk of Ilyasova and fillers for Bledsoe is insulting. That guy sucks. He shoots 41% fg and 28% 3 pts. Yes, those are his real stats. So unless someone comes in with an amazing offer, I expect the Suns to keep Bledsoe. Ryan McDonough has already proven multiple times that he is not willing to get screwed in trades, unlike Lance Blanks or Steve Kerr.

I don't think that will happen. He has no offers. Why bid against ourselves?

I also thought I read somewhere that each team can only have one player on their roster with a 5 year contract according to the new CBA..

If that is true I expect we will save the 5 year deal for Goran. If it is not true I stand corrected.

Bledsoe has to come to his senses. We are offering a very fair deal at 4 and 48.

Return to Phoenix Suns
