Re: 2024-25 Season Discussion and Speculation Part IV
Robert Sarver must be laughing his ass off thinking he died and landed in heaven for the last 2 years.
He sold the team and ripped off Ishbia in the sale (with NBA ratings declining this season, media contracts and team valuations will be tanking too especially with all the non-popular gimmicks that Silver is implementing into the league). Then got revenge on all the fans that hated him by watching how Ishbia has completely ruined the team in the present and for the foreseeable future.
I’m not exaggerating one tiny bit when I say that I firmly believe Robert Sarver might be the happiest man in the United States the last 2 years. What a life.

How is it even possible to be so dumb and out of touch? What on earth needs to happen for this idiot of an owner to put two and two together? My god, this is infuriating...

I am not surprised about the news of Book staying and retooling around him. This has been always the most possible outcome.
I would prefer to trade him BUT I understand the opposite direction and wanting him back because he is a pretty good 28yo player who has been a Sun for life.
We are gonna get a really good package for KD and we can try to trade Beal again in the summer.

Gambo about potential KD trades:
That would be a great trade IMO but in that scenario we would need to trade Beal for sure.
Jabari Smith is now on a tough position because Amen Thompson has stolen his starting spot and we could give him that PF spot here. He is soft and he needs to improve his all-around game but he is talented and has high potential yet.
I like Eason but I think probably the Rockets wouldn't trade him with Jabari out. They would prefer to give us Whitmore, but I would be OK with him too. Microwave scorer.
And Jalen Green + 2 FRPs...I don't know. Probably it's even too good for us because Jalen Green has STAR potential. I think the Rockets will try to give us FVV over Jalen Green.
Only team that makes sense to me. They can give us Jalen Green, Jabari Smith and Tari Eason plus two picks - KD gets to play for Udoka and just show up they have leaders - Van Vleet, Brooks plus great players in Thompson and Sengun - Glue guys in place.
I think he would love to play for Udoka

Booker should be off limits. Since draft capital is limited the general idea is to retool around Booker.

Every project with Booker at the helm has failed for us. Why should anyone think it's going to be different this time. He can not lead us anywhere, he's just not good enough. We don't have enough chips to bring a better player than him, a proper leader, so why even bother trying to 'stay competitive'. It's so foolish. We're losing more and more years in mediocricy. This is preposterous.

Boycott the team until they realize how ridiculously bad they.

This team is a train wreck and the spearhead of the mess is Booker, Jones and Ishbia. Ishbia is a unserious owner. Jones is ha the IQ of a carrot. Booker is a an overrated ego driven, entitled borderline star who the rest of the league doesn’t view as a star player.
This team is unserious about winning as long as Booker is still in the teams future plans.
I’m sure he is a lot of Suns fans kids favorite players and all. And I’m sure those kids will be sad to see him go but the rest of us what a serious rebuild into a serious contender. I ain’t looking for an unserious half rebuild to accommodate Booker so this team never gets a 4 seed or better playoff birth because as long as Booker is the main star on this team 5 seed or worse is the best you can hope for.

I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

While I agree Book needs to go why tip your hand now? At least appear its gonna take a lot to get Book traded. Why tweet everyone is available?
Suns FO is already behind the 8 ball cause every other team sees the desperation and is going to wait it out until the Suns cave for any lowball offer.

I said at the beginning of this season that we needed Bol to step up in order to compete. Based on the stats - because I can't bear to watch this trash- Bol stepped up, but Bud refused to play him until the season was already over.
Meanwhile, if I didn't know anything and you asked whether Durant or Booker was older based on their play, I might guess wrong. Our boy looks washed.
Meanwhile, for all the hate James Jones gets for his draft picks, Ty Jerome is about to win 6MOY while Toumani Camara is the best player on the Blazers.
This franchise is awful. We're about to be the Wizards of the West.
If I'm not out, I might just have to become a troll, because what else is there? Delusion?

Yup this season has been worst case scenario in every single way. Only thing worse would be for Spurs to somehow win the lottery and get Flagg to pair with Wemby.
This would truly be terrible! But also kind of expected considering how the league already said F-you to the rest of the markets by colluding and gifting the Flakers Luka! ( very good for Silvers') ratings issues and saving Lebron from mediocrity in his last few seasons too! And behold, now there the 2nd seed and being promoted to go to the Finals and likely play the Celtics for a Lakers Celtics championship showdown.
It's becoming WWE level scripted! Not even any creativity or hiding things much anymore! But hack to the Spurs. Being the NBAs' other pet project team for it's overseas expansion connections ( same reason they were gifted Wemby) and had Parker, Ginobli, etc.
Silver will likely orchestrate that exact result you mentioned man for their resurgence to power again too! It'll be like the 90s' all over again! Only we won't be fielding a team with Nash and Amare because our new idiot owner doesn't care about draft picks!!
It's like he's had too much drunk pillow talk brainwashing from Jones himself.

If this is the attitude, the team deserves to rot in purgatory and never make the playoffs. Maybe sniffing around the play-in game
I truly do not care if Booker is happy here or not. The goal is to win games and titles. Booker just wants to get paid $55m, sit on his back patio in PV and enjoy life.

At least in the playoffs. In the regular season, KD and Book would get superstar calls.

Between this and our horrific defense, our most critical improvement goals should be around rim / paint protection with a hyper mobile long athletic rim runner (Beringer) or Grunloh or Ziharsky?? And then also high end transition defenders....... Bryant, Tugler, Clifford, Byrd, Swain, Johnson (Kobe), YAXEL LENDEBORG, TREVON BRAZILE, Dillon Mitchell, McKenzie Mabako, etc. Or in trade with an really athletic, physical, long wing/ forward?

Really though? What team doesn't beat us! And we're paying for other teams to beat us and embarass us now too with the lottery picks we've given up. So of course Ishbia won't trade KD back to Houston because that would just make too much sense.
Our 10 year rebuild begins in 28. As we just keep limping forward while stopping by each team to get kicked in the nuts repeatedly along the way! It'll absolutely be to................
1- Golden state to play with Curry and Butler for a final superteam joinup!
2- Dallas for a Kyrie/ Davis join up!
At this point I'm just not sure it matters anymore.

Don't forget the azzhat puppeteer behind the scenes, our other shadow GM Isiah Thomas!! He's for sure a key advisor to all of this!
Who else would come up with constant undersized multiguard premises??? He destroyed the Knicks and now us! He's really capping off his East Coast/ West Coast tour of destruction effectively.

Booker is just not a true franchise player! And the fact that do many fans promote him as our franchise player just speaks to why no other teams take us seriously!
He's a great offensive player and talent, and one of my favorite players. But he's more of a 2nd tier 1B star like a Steve Smith, Mitch Richmond or a Brandon Roy before the leg/ knee issues ended his career.
He's just good enough to keep us outside the top of the lottery, but not good enough or truly elite enough to carry this team to a championship.
And even when we help by adding supposed high end star players, it's always older, mostly washed stars that are past their primes or in decline.

I'd love to hear that the arena is half empty the rest of the home games. The players gave up months ago and now the fans are as well.
