We can only offer 4 years so I think it'd be closer to 120 for 4

If he re-ups with Utah, he'd likely get more than 5/150. 170? 180? With the cap rising from 94 to 110+.

He'd be smart to demand a trade this season if he wants to still get 5 years but for someone else.

Glad we aren't giving out stupid contracts. And it's nice to see the FO is as obsessed with Hayward as I am even though it's not really warranted. Whats the salary floor expected to be though?

We should literally sign someone and up 30 million in the first year.

Jared sullinger 4 years 40million
20 million year 1, then 8,7,5

Lance Stephenson 4 years 35 million

15 million first year , 8, 7,5

Or something like this for some player with all our cap space.

Have 2 young 25 years olds locked in for 8 mill or less for 3 years. Both would be great role players for us if we ever became a contender

Did not know that I know the thunder did that with collision about 4 years ago so they must have changed it since then! Good info

Why don't people like Greg Monroe? Just curious the dude has always been nearly a double double guy , per is always in 20. I didn't watch bucks games but man, he is young with a relative good contract why would we not be trying to trade for him.

Even with all the money given out today and certain players changing teams, the NBA landscape is exactly the same. The only way it will change is if Durant changes teams. Otherwise, the top teams are still the top teams.

'Really?, any other players DWade likes that you might be interested in.'

I just get this feeling McMully is a smug sore loser and to deal Knight would be admittance of a deal gone bad. Anyway, we got the little chucker and IMO, he will start with Book coming off the bench. The protocol says so. Book started due to injury. And besides... I'd rather see Book run with Ulis, warren and Len in the second unit. Be kind of like that bench we had back with Dragic and Barbososo that at times outplayed the starters or at least steamrolled the oppositions second units.

McD (who i might start referring to as Big Mac) likes Knight. he said "i feel bad because Suns fans haven't seen the real Brandon Knight."

you guys know he had a sports hernia. if you still can't give him the benefit of the doubt, y'all are some ungrateful fans.

the Knight hate got old pretty quick. you know he''s as good as he was in Milwaukee. he was pretty dang good in Milwaukee. you think he just forgot what he was doing?

i guess there is no Suns forum where i won't be mad as all get out.

fwiw, Knight isn't getting traded. too young and too GOOD. so i guess y'all will have to keep moaning about how Booker, who's 10-25% worse, should start and that McD's a sour puss. yup.....until November, when Knight is blowing the doors off......like he did here.

You've got the wrong idea about Frank; it has nothing to do with Brandon Knight, and everything to do with McD. McD could sign LeBron to a 6 year deal worth $5M per year, and Frank would find a way in how McD somehow screwed up the deal. So take any 'ungratefulness' in which you sense or believe Frank is targeting Knight with, and understand that he is actually directing that 'hate' or 'ungratefulness' towards McD, and that should make you feel better. He's only using Knight as his object of ''dislike' because it's convenient; he really doesn't have any issues with Frank personally/

Yeah, I thought Memphis might get weaker depending on what happened, but they got stronger. If healthy, they will be right there...some defensive potential with their rooks too with those wingspans of Baldwin and Zagorac.

Reggie Miller said he thought Indy would be right there with Cleveland. I guess we'll see about that.

No defense, no rim protection, slow, can't hit a shot outside of about 3 feet.

I would love to hear a report that McD, Bled, Knight, Bender and Chriss are in The Hamptons, planning to crash KD's free agency meeting.

BENDER AND CHRISS V. DURANT 1-ON-1. SHOW HIM HE DON'T WANT TO PLAY AGAINST THESE YOUNGINS
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

With Utah, a max with 7 years can start at 30% of the cap, so that would be $33 million in year one if the cap is 110 and he could get 7.5% raises, so probably an avg of a little less than $3 million raises over the contract. It would probably be over $190 (33, 35.5, 38, 41, 44)..that's about $191.5 million

190mil on Hayward?

I'd rather max Barnes...

Hayward is not special that would be worse then the Conley contract. He's not a difference maker

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

I'd like the idea of Horford a lot more if it somehow got us in the door with KD, like Chandler and LMA last year.

Im sure everyone does.

But the fact that OKC could be in a position to get a team to take Kanter for absolutely nothing (After the contracts being handed out, what team would turn down Kanter @ $17M for next to nothing), and have to room to sign Horford and then re-sign Durant, makes it highly unlikely that he is leaving.

OKC has a leg up on all teams due to Durant already having spent so much time there and by already having another all-star in Westbrook.

No, that would be like signing Chandler all over again. Horford is better, but it would be a waste on this team. KD is not signing with us and we don't even have near the cap space for both. We could probably dump Chandler on Dallas if we needed to but I still don't think we'd have enough...probably have to dump both.

Anyone know our exact cap space?

Eric Bledsoe - 14,000,000
Devin Booker - 2,223,600
Tyson Chandler - 12,415,000
Archie Goodwin - 2,094,089
Brandon Knight - 12,606,250
Alex Len - 4,823,621
P.J. Tucker - 5,300,000
T.J. Warren - 2,128,920
John Jenkins - 1,050,961
Alan Williams - 874,636
Chase Budinger's Cap Hold - 980,431
Jon Leuer's Cap Hold - 1,966,500
Ronnie Price's Cap Hold - 980,431
Mirza Teletovic's Cap Hold - 6,600,000
Dragan Bender's Cap Hold - 3,563,600
Marquese Chriss's Cap Hold - 2,451,200
Michael Beasley's Stretched Salary - 777,777
Tyler Ulis - $543,471

We had $21-$23 million before releasing cap holds. I assume we released all of them which gave us what, $32+?

Yeah, I bet Horford is waiting on KD and will join a contender.

It's a shame because think with him as our starting 4 or 5 (with Len) we could cause some problems and make the playoffs if all goes well.
