LOL, cmon

CP is not even close to being a 30M and won't ever be elite again seeing how bad he's struggling.

Ayton sucks, period.

LOL at some people here so scared by the Mavs. Mavs will be comical on defense and it will take some time for Luka and Kyrie to build chemistry if they ever do. On top of that Kyrie could leave in the offseason.

At one point this season, we were 15-6, and a 1 seed, IIRC. This entire season has been played with one roster spot being held hostage, and one of our, what, top 6 or 7 producers from last season, doing squat for our team this season. Booker has been out for more than half the season, yes? And we've been 13-16 since, and how many of those games were we down 3 starters, and we are still a 5-seed in the West right now. So long as we get healthy at the right time, and get something useful back for Crowder, we can still make an incredibly strong push this season, and into the Playoffs. I remember seeing all the posts in the off-season, on how we were essentially done in the West, and at best, a 5 or 6 seed, but that was presuming that we weren't down our best player for almost half the season so far, right?

Sure, every team deals with injuries, but can another team honestly boast having a winning record with as many injuries and games lost as we've sustained to 4 of 5 of our starters?

Ayton - 9 gms
Paul - 21 gms
Booker - 26 gms
C. Johnson - 39 gms

That's a ton of time lost by our starters, with only our own version of the Iron Man being healthy all season.

So, yeah, I agree, Dallas just got tougher, but we're a heck of a lot better with less, than most gave us a chance of being, assuming healthy starters.

Okay...sis-boom-rah speech over. But, I for one,am interested in seeing what benefit the 'any player with a heartbeat' is going to give our team, that's at least a little better, once Crowder is traded...

I feel Nets don't want to trade KD after trading for DFS who has 4 years on his deal.
On top of trading their 1st for Royce O'Neal and being stuck with a max contract with that player averaging under 10 points and shooting below 50% from the FT line. It just doesn't seem likely. Plus, Cam Johnson is red hot. And I truly want to see Book, new cook Bridges, Cam all healthy and see what they can do.

WTF cares about Kyrie leaving in the off season... They gave up nobodies for Kyrie. If he leaves he leaves and they get 30M+ cap room.

Cheaper to pay CP+Ayton then paying KD ?

You know NBA is all about trading salaries right...

DFS and Dinwiddie were important for beating us last playoffs. I'm not sure how much cap Mavs will have if he leaves, but Mavs are not a great FA destination so...

Should I be annoyed for my fantasy team since I have Kyrie or does this give me some stability?

Well, Dinwiddie was playing great basketball this season and he can put 20 ppg easily as an starting PG/SG.

DFS is one of the best 3&D in the league.

Ben Simmons is the problem there. His salary is crazy for his production.

Thats also why it wouldnt have mattered if we traded CP3 in a deal for Kyrie either...if Kyrie walked in the offseason our window would have been only this year with CP3 who will almost assuredly be irrelevant next season as a player anyway. CP3 is averaging 13/8 on 43% shooting this year so he might already be irrelevant anyway especially in the playoffs.

They can get a MUCH better offer from many different teams.

Your trade idea would never happen....no one does that trade in Brooklyn lol

Nobodies? Those are two very good starters in the league on fair deals. And a FRP.

You trade for Durant you better win a championship, cause you will be capped with no picks, CP3 is all but done, so you ain't getting better you are stuck with an aging roster and rebuild, Book ain't going through that again. It's an all in move that either pays off with a championship or fails spectacularly there is no middle ground

I might be the only one here, but I am happy that Kyrie didn't go to LA, either team. Though that can change if he ends up going there this summer anyway.

Uhhh yea... I'm sure there will be one GM in the league the will take DFS + Dinwiddie over Kyrie

Kyrie's salary this season is $36,503,300
and Morris salary this season is 2.9M

If the healthy Suns can't handle Dinwiddie, a injury prone Suns sure can't handle Kyrie

yeah that is a consolation for sure. clippers are already a better team than the Mavs even with Kyrie
