This was a solid move. All that's left is to jettison Beal and Okogie. Easier said than done, I know, but necessary for the future going forward.

Being in a hard cap situation and with scarce assets and then getting both Monte Morris and Jones for veteran minimum is quite insane.

So having a good team in a good market and an owner who will spend allows you to land guys you typically wouldn't in FA...

So who can we trade Beal for? Where would he waive no trade clause?

I would love to get rid of him, if its possible.

Its going to be shocking how good we will be next year...Im still in shock.... We are winning it all and im putting my money on the line...Its going to be wild what a PG will do for this team especially one of Tyus Jones caliber... omgggggg....The despair is over... Championship or bust is back on the menu.

Last year's 3 point percentage except for Lee which was previous seasons:

Allen .461
Lee .445
Beal .430
Monte .424
Bol .423
Jones .414
KD .413
Royce .376
Book .364

That's freaking absurd!!!

Bringing up the rear:

Okogie .309
Little .300
Nurk .244
Plumlee .000

Our two rookies will not see the light of day unless they are reliable three point shooters.

Our two rookies are horrible. They will / should be in Gleague all year.

They just need to go ahead and offer him to the Lakers to piss him off.

TASTIC wrote:Unreal signing. Wonder how KD and Book will go as essentially primary ball handlers and having the ball in their hand less - KD already complained about that last year.

Love the signing, a true floor general.

Allen to 6th man surely…

Yall just make stuff up. KD complained about be utilized poorly and not involved in the offense much and he was right. A true point guard & better coaching will fix the issue.

If I had Ish's money, I would buy out Little if he is not going to play and Jones cannot trade him. Especially if there is still a free agent available for the minimum at the 3,4 or 5 that could provide more depth.

Otherwise, this roster is ready to rumble.

I was happy with just Monte, I thought Tyus was completely out of reach. The fact the the Suns got both is insane

team is much better than last year's opening day version, but still fundamentally flawed and way too offensively geared and will seriously struggle on defense and rebounding, can't see how they fix those issues without trading one of Booker and KD as i don't think Beal is very tradable and would require assets to move most likely

Amazing signing

66 games last season with the Wiz, he averaged 7 assists on ONE.....ONE turnover a game. So in those almost 2000 min played, he dropped 485 dimes and only turned it over 66 times. This is a guy with a career 5.4 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. Also a fantastic shooter and has been pretty healthy throughout his career. Just a solid solid PG

Both Tyus and Monte are two of the best in the league in terms of taking care off the ball. Last year, that was one of our biggest deficits. Hell, we could barely get the ball past mid court against the Wolves.

Huge wins IMO.

My expectation is that the trade deadline will be used to address size issues. Probably an unpopular opinion but I'm all for using the 2031 pick at this point to upgrade the C position. Our window is limited and there's a good chance our PGs will cash in next off-season with the highest bidder.

That would also make me excited because it could mean we have a super deep bench if Beal accepts a Ginobli role. With PG leaving the clippers we can probably get away with Allen at the 3 defensively out West now

PG - Tyus / Morris
SG - Book / Beal
SF - Allen / Oneal
PF - KD / Bol
C - Nurk / Plum

I don't think we'd start Tyus. If we did, Allen would come off the bench and Book would start at 3. He's taller and bigger anyway.\ and Allen is really more of a traditional SG and not a SF (Neither is Book but he is closer (same size as Wiggins, Middleton, DeRozan, Bridges (without the wingspan), etc.

So....

PG - Tyus / Morris
SG - Beal / Allen
SF - Book/ Oneal
PF - KD / Bol
C - Nurk / Plum

That's exactly how I see it.

Tyus is starting and that will be great for the Big 3.

Monte leading the 2nd unit with Allen and O'Neal playing over 20 mpg.

The size at the wings need to be addressed now. Literally everybody in the west small forward is like 6”8. Meanwhile we’re trouting out 6’4 Allen & Booker to guard them and get cooked.

Amazing get and we basically get Chris Paul for 2 minimums - Jones and Morris.

But it also pushes out our perimeter defenders, if O'Neale plays 20 minutes and that's it we look bottom 10 in defense.
