I think it's much, much more likely that he was aware of that the whole time, but he saw a chance to nab IT on an amazing deal to add another tradeable asset to our coffers. We're in Morey pre-Harden mode...asset collection first, second and third, worry about the roster fit when you finally trade for the big fish.

Idk why everyone says IT has such an amazing deal. Do you see anyone offering Aaron Brooks $7m/yr? He's basically the same player as Isaiah, except he's taller and a little less determined. He even averaged 20 and 5 one season just like IT. Hell, he even did it on a playoff team. Isaiah's value is so low that even his own team refused to negotiate with him, and started guys like Greivis Vasquez in front of him. If Isaiah had any value, he'd be gone by now and we would not hear of any Dragic trade rumors. I think McD signed IT because he didn't think Bledsoe was coming back, if he was it would be on the QO, and he stupidly thought he could start IT and Goran together in the future.

This is such BS. Just because you and others on this forum don't like IT doesn't mean McDonough and other GMs in the league feel the same.

Do you know who else averaged 20 and 5 one season just like IT? Goran Dragic. I guess that means he's the same player as Isaiah, except he's taller and much less determined. Oh, did I mention that most people on this forum think that Goran deserves at least as big a contract as Bledsoe?

I'm telling you, we already have a trade lined up for IT, but we get back nothing of significance. (It's probably IT to the Lakers for garbage.)

But, between now and the deadline we are listening to offers for Dragic. If we can get a good offer for Dragic, or acquire a star player for Dragic + other assets, then we pull the trigger.

I'd bet my nutsack on it.

I can understand 100% why fans here rather have Dragic over Thomas, I really do. I too love watching him play.

But maybe, just maybe, he has told the FO, that in any case he will test FA, with or without Thomas. Basically there is a good chance he simply has Higher preference than stay as a Sun... That's the only thing I can think of why he is still on the block...

The FO asked him to verbally commit and he hasn't done that. They probably already told him they will trade Thomas, but still he won't commit. I dunno, that's what I'm thinking anyways.

Would PHX have any interest in Lance + 2015 1st for Dragic?

People here hate Lance. I am still intrigued by his unique skill set, age, and defensive abilities. I would absolutely consider it.

If there ever was a player who deserved to be called "cancer", it's Lance Stephenson. On top of that, he's simply a bad basketball player.

This.

Would the Suns have any interest in Jefferson? The rumors says post scoring and that is his strength. I could see the Hornets having interest in Dragic and Plumlee. I think Tucker would have to be thrown in too.

Would do IT/Tucker/Plumlee for AJ. No picks involved.

I thought Klay Thompson was overrated last year... Listen contract years are tough. Look how good Gordon Hayward is playing now guy struggled last year just to score 15 ppg and shoot over 35% on some nights.

I want to see Goran at his regular combo guard spot, a summer off, and in a non contract year.

Well if you trade Dragic than you might as well trade IT as well. IT wont be a starter in this league, hes a defensive liability, and for a 6th man doesnt really add a spark. When I say spark I say a hustle play that leads to a run such plays that ish smith made last year, Ish was also a much better defender but IT is just a more talented player but for this type of team Ish fit us more but Ish is easily upgradable and we did with IT from a talent perspective but hes just not a good fit for this team, but I will say IT has saved us this year, boy has green been inconsistent all year. Also add to the fact that Dragic is a bad defender, Keef cant rebound or defend, and PJ is to big now to the point where he was like Ron Artest Aka Meta world peace his last couple years in the league he is to big cant move his feet anymore. So guys like Harden who he could at least limit and force him out of his comfort zone last year now this year Harden just destroys are whole team and is making all the plays. I know Harden has improved but still if PJ was able to defend like last year he could of at least limited some of those plays from Harden, made it tougher for him, and maybe got him out of his rhythm, but one head fake is all you need this year and Harden can fly right by PJ

If we are downgrading to IT then we would likely want Green instead of Tucker. IT was more useful to us before we got Williams. Now if we manage to send Lance and Roberts to the Nets I could see this.

Yea lance sucks.... If the pacers had a above average PG last year, there would of been no need for him. Lance wasnt even that good of a defender and would turn it over which would lead to easy transition baskets the other way because of his over dribbling, his flaws were hidden because he was asked to run the offense and had the athletic ability to make some plays but as a true sf he wouldn't fit any team, Paul George didn't even say he wanted him back he said that it is up to larry bird, so that tells you what kind of player he is! . He be a nice 8th or 9th man for 4-5 years before going to europe. Just think of Jr Smith but a bigger head case and terrible locker room guy who's not as good of a shooter, and over dribbles that is Lance for you!

Suns would need to keep some bench scoring, so Green would be a no-go in any trade involving IT.

I think Goodwin is ready...... Who df though terrance ross was ready last year to be a decent sf? Goodwin has shown enough flashes where he can play 15-25 mins a game and put up solid numbers and be effective. You trade Green to open up a spot for Archie really simple actually.

Understand the concern about him, but we aren't giving our pick and any member of our core in a deal like this.

Honestly I'd be shocked if Cho would even include the first, was more curious if that would even get it done from your perspective.

I would never root for a player that threw a woman down a staircase and then smashed her head into the stairs after he threw her. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5467630 And look at how many problems he caused on and off the court with the Pacers last season. He is a sick person. That is why no one wants him. He played at an all star level for the Pacers and they did not want any part of him anymore. The Hornets could throw in a first round pick and I would be shocked if someone would take him. Hard to justify trading Dragic (even though he might leave in free agency) for a guy like Stephenson.

I understand. May not be a trade to be had here. We need shooting and you guys seem to need inside scoring but the pieces may not fit money wise quite right.

Didn't see anything on this. Is this why the Dragic trade talk started back up?

Hearing Suns want a first-rounder for Goran Dragic and, rest assured, they'll get it. Rockets got to be tempted.

It's not just about keeping Green around, it was more about getting rid of PJ Tucker so we can get some minutes for TJ Warren. :D
We could probably trade Green away for a late 1st, maybe to Atlanta for the TWolves pick. Play Goodwin/Bullock/Warren.

Never played at an allstar level that was just media hype to match the Pacers big 3 with the heats big 3. He gets some triple doubles whoopie... Lowry, Teague, Jefferson, and more. He was playing on the worse offense in the league and he got to handle it about more than 2/3s of the time since George Hill was so bad. His rebounding was also overrated because there offense was so clogged down that every1 would crash the offensive and defensive glass, Hibberts inability to rebound left Stephenson with some extra rebounds.

Charlotte gets Dragic, Brooklyn gets Lance, Suns get Charlotte's first round pick and X from brooklyn.
