Why? Because a top 5 point guard (which he is when he is allowed to play with the ball), is worth more than the garbage that is being offered. There is a reason Goran will get the max this offseason and it is because multiple teams think he is that good. Do not cash out for cents on the dollar. The franchise is better served trying to rectify the problem and making the next two months a recruiting pitch.
I respect that you are clinging to the idea that Goran could come back but it ain't happening dude. That ship has sailed I recommend you start the grieving process.

Your attempt to make Goran a martyr is a little comical. You act like he did the suns some huge favor coming back in free agency... dude we paid him more money than anyone else would. Dragic should be thankful the suns believed in him since teams weren't lining up to make him their starting point. And why is everyone forgetting the last time Goran had total run of the point guard spot the suns won 25 **** games.

Players are fickle. Kobe was traded in 2007, until he wasn't. Your point about Goran not winning as a team's starting pg is flawed. No pg, not MVP Steve Nash, could win with a group comprised of Michael Beasley, Shannon Brown, Hamed Haddadi, Wesely Johnson, Jermaine O'Neal, and Luis Scola. Sorry. Not to mention that Drgaic is light years ahead of the player he was then. Dragic was promised a certain role by the front office, and, in a contract year, had that promise broken. He said he was upset, management said they would fix it and they didn't. He hasn't done anything crazy here.

From a fan perspective. Sarver is not a liked owner. The owners and the players hate him. He's our biggest hurdle. He makes promises and steps in where he should not making Ryan's job more difficult. He promised Goran more playing time as the primary BH. Then he promised IT a 3 guard rotation with the promise of Bledsoe not likely coming back. Contradictory crap.

From a fan perspective though what Goran is doing is bad. He's crapping on the future of this team by the way he positioned himself. He's letting his agent do it. But he consents to what his agent does and does not do. As fans we are tied to the team. So when a player damages a team (and he is damaging us to a large degree) you lose respect and desire for that player.

Say what you want about Bledsoe but he didn't publically hurt us. He did what was in his best interest for him and his family while not **** all over our Franchise.

And I am not Paul Coro. I'm much prettier than him :P

Which one are you?

So I guess Pheonix are content with losing Dragic for nothing at the end of the year because that deal isn't happening.

We can change his mind or work a sign and trade.

2 first round picks >>> giving Dragic a 5 year deal for over 18 million per year

malgus wrote:shouldn't the suns like worry about other business than dragic? Trade Thomas because he's not good for chemistry and a ballhog - regardless of the Dragic situation.

Trade Green because he's not in the future plans.

Trade Plumlee because he has hands of stone and some value.

Then worry about Dragic instead of letting the Dragic situation overwhelm everything else. If it comes down to it, just play out the season with Bledsoe and Dragic and then if he walks, he walks. We have ennis. Point guards are a dime a dozen. Hell we could get a guy like Mo Williams easy at any time. Hell resign Bassy as a backup.

Things are not mutually excludent. Media pays full attention to Dragic, but pretty sure FO is dealing multiple decks by now.

Have to see how it ends. Anything is possible, even Dragic staying as the sole PG while Bledsoe and IT get shipped (Bledsoe has a lot of value on the market).

Whiteside talks is a follow up deal in the offseason.

Unlike GS Riley keeps his word :P

But no way they are parting with him unfortunately.

OKay. Dragic is likely gone.

He's come public. He has to leave now or we lose him for nothing.

Take the best deal and run.

If we move Dragic, move IT, PJ etc.

Rebuild around Len and Bledsoe + picks + FA and caps space.

Pick yourself up, brush the dust off the shoulders and move on.

Bye Dragic. Thanks for the memories

Hoopshype has him slotted as only having a 14-15 season commitment. Maybe they missed something?

You're right man players change their mins, but based on what Dragic was saying you would need to trade Bledsoe and Thomas for that to happen. But like you said could happen, sign and trade doesn't net you two first rounders though.
