LOL at all the Kieff for Stankey Johnson trades. And even bigger lol at people who think the Suns wouldn't trade Kieff for Johnson.

Nah guys lets keep it realistic please, I say Suns talk to Pelicans about trading Anthony Davis for Kieff.

Imagine this

Bledsoe
Knight
Tucker
Davis
Chandler

Hmm. Interesting. Should we believe him?

Let's not pretend that there was never anything you or anyone else has said that you wish you could take back. His play on the court will speak volumes. Let's get this preseason started already :D

OK. Its the next step. Sure, be skeptical, but this is impossible to be anything else but progress. If nothing else, every statement like this increases his trade value.

Almost everyone has that moment or event in their life where they were forced to evolve from punk kid to adulthood. For Kieff, we might be witnessing that moment. Although it is true that for most people it happens long before age 26. Its usually something like getting married, becoming a parent, getting a mortgage, graduating from college, starting a real job etc. Sometimes its getting arrested, getting fired, getting kicked out of your parents house. . .

Kieff is better than Stanley! Flame away.

Wonder if letsgosuns takes the bait.

If Kieff puts up career numbers do you guys forgive him? Or do we trade him while his trade stock is the highest?

If he puts around 17 points and 8 rebounds with good defense and being a better pro I would not trade him for sure...but I do not believe he can, hopefully I am wrong.

If he plays like these last two years I would be open to trade him, but only for good value.

Asking Markieff Morris to put good scoring nights within the team flow, grab rebounds consistently, play defense inside is like asking him to be a different much better player than he is.

Funny. Look at the numbers and game logs, Markieff was the most consistent player on this team last year. And its not close.

Keef putting up 17/8, playing good defense, and with a reformed "team and fan first" attitude would be awesome. Add to that the fact that he is just starting an incredibly cheap 4 year contract and his value goes from good to outstanding.

At that point I would definitely keep him unless we were getting a star of some sort back in trade.

We evaluate just how much he means to this team this season and check the FA market next season. Then we evaluate the draft however finding a starting quality power forward from the draft seems unlikely. Back up might seem more reasonable.

McD knows his stats and Kieff has improved every season. This season becomes really important with Chander's presence. I'm going to go as far as saying we make the play-offs this season and we throw everything we have at that 1/2 seed :D

Right now, he might be the better nba player, and I usually agree with you, but Stanley does everything well, and has a FAR higher upside. Plus, Stanley is a true pro.

I'm not a guy who hates Kieff either. Not my favorite guy, but I don't think whatever he has done is nearly as bad as most, but saying you wouldn't trade him for Stanley is crazy if you are thinking long term. If you are striving for the 7th or 8th seed, I can see it possibly making a tiny bit of sense, but we need more players who will evolve into something great.

If he manages to pull down at least 8-9 boards a game and can put forth more of an effort defensively, sure I'll forgive him for all his sins.

I don't feel like I have anything I need to forgive him for. I don't really hold grudges though. And I don't know they guy. If he busts his ass and plays well, I'll be glad he's here.

Good input guys. I'm still a bit bitter about what he has said and how he has conducted himself the past 6 months or so, but if he turns it around then I'll give him a second chance.
I'm not sure we even need to see a huge increase in rebounds. I'd say 7.5 boards a game would suffice for me, especially with Chandler and Len. 17 points, 7.5 boards a game would be enough for me. Hopefully he can shoot closer to 50% this year too.

Most players probably do one thing or another in their private lives that we don't personally agree with or it's against our individual mantras. The issue wit Kieff became public when it shouldn't have and we got to see a side of his him that we wished we didn't have to see. In the end, as long as he stays a pro during the season and plays hard, I can't hate on Kieff the NBA player. Kieff's professionalism is another story.

17/8 for Keef isn't far fetched.

Blesdoe - 18/6a
Knight - 20/5a
TJ - 12/5r
Keef 17/8r
Chandler 10/11r

Add in 30 points from our bench and we are looking pretty.
