Why trade for George if you know he's going to LA?
He's already giving up on a TON of money with Indy, he can do anything he wants right now

If I'm the suns I don't. If I'm Boston I consider it because if they add George they could make a significant run and who knows maybe you convince him to stay.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Looks like George might get moved and then they are trying to clear more roster space. Not that we are interested.

A couple positives here:
(1) if the Celts see the Cavs as vulnerable, then maybe the Raptors and Wizards do too, and so might be willing to give up significant value for our guys;
(2) if the Bulls don't move Butler to the Celtics,
(A) we're the next-best trade partner for any potential Butler deal, but also
(B) the Bulls may be willing to give up a little extra to put some extra talent around Butler.

That's just leverage. I wouldn't be surprised if Danny A. leaked that rumor himself to try and drive the price down. If the Celtics trade for PG13 he'll re-up there.

Yeah, if its a low-ball offer like Cousins got, ok.
But they're talking about the bkn pick now, this is just non-sense

Fultz with Turner is a good core going forward for the Pacers.

Why not target Wiz, Raps and Chi?

Knight to CHI
Dudley to WAS
Tucker and Chandler to TOR
And all the young stuff to PHX

Unless you meant to put that in green, you just ruined your credibility with me, sunsbum.

Did you see the haul he got boogie? Mcd probably gets a 2nd rounder....Maybe 2. Kings franchise is blessed.

If they add George, you have to give them a punchers chance at contending with the Cavs. If they make the finals this year or next year, does George really leave for LA? I don't peg PG as a money grabber. Making finals/semi finals the next 2-3 years can keep him around.

I think what people need to realize is that if Cousins can only get Hield, a first and a second, and Noel 2 2nds, that with the cap rising so much and the cost of players skyrocketing, rookie contracts and draft picks are far more valued than in any year before this one.

So with Knight, the question becomes, do you want him on the team or not? A second round pick, if obtainable always COULD turn into a Dragic, Gortat, Draymond Green, Carlos Boozer, etc.....so it's not like it's worthless, if you just make a good pick.

I think everyone needs to take their George/Butler fantasies to the pasture with a shotgun. Why would we trade Tucker if we were trying to get a superstar?

It's more complicated than that, though. We can all agree that Lou Williams is worth more than Bogdanovic, but that the Wiz pick is worth more than the Rockets pick. That's two firsts that have been moved so far, and the prices haven't been as steep as I would have expected.

SAC simply way, way, way overvalued Buddy Hield. I think that's the most elegant explanation here. It wasn't market; it was an outlier.

If the Celtics get George without giving Crowder on the trade they are contenders.

Isaiah, Bradley, George, Crowder and Horford is a terrific starting five. Smart as a sixth man.

I understand getting players on rookie deals, but the chances are SO SLIM that don't act like McD is banking on it. IMO, hoping BK finds his game >>>> Some random 2nd round 1% chance of him becoming something.
