His stats are the definition of a below average player. His measurements are of a twiner, basically a similar player to Ariza, despite 100% sure not that good. So, how can anyone consider him an answer at PF ?

He’s not an answer. He’s garbage. If he played for the suns last year everyone would be asking to trade or waive him. His deficiencies, which he has many of, are hidden by the star prowess of lillard and CJ.

He’s so frustrating to watch. He plays with no passion or energy. He’s such a lazy ass player. I would be so pissed if he played for the Suns.

I’m a crazy, but I’d rather just keep TJ at PF and let him Bomb away. I look for him to come out of his Basketball Lab with another 10 lbs and a renewed vigor on D. He’s 20 in the bank with 5-7 rbs.... is Randle or(?) that much better?

Same theory applies with TJo... can we get a significant upgrade w/o giving him up?

I want Randle and Warren. Randle as the starter and Warren as the off the bench scorer. TJo....I think it just depends on what else we could do with his salary cap number. If a trade or FA presents itself where that 19M could be better served....Gotta move on from him.

For example, if Brooklyn goes the Kyrie super team route, imagine a deal of TJo+JJ+Bucks Pick+Suns 2020 1st in a S&T for DLO.

Why does Brooklyn do that you ask? Because of the flexibility it gives them to build around their newly signed star FAs. They'd have a wealth of draft picks to bring in more talent AND They'd have cap relief coming in 2020 which could make them players in the FA market that summer as well. OR they could package an expiring of TJo, and the picks and maybe get another really good piece for their team.

I was under the impression that Brooklyn could only sign 2 max contracts if they renounce DLO. So them doing a S&T with him would be just as bad as keeping him.

I think the only way DLO comes to the sun's in any way is if we clear cap space and the nets renounce him and have Kyrie and someone like Durant committed.

Exactly. Looks like the expectations of many Suns fans have reached rock bottom.
He's a top 25 defender in the whole league when you factor in versitlity and defensive IQ. He's also a low usage guy who can help you win without needing touches (something you need when you have high usage guys like Booker and Ayton and even Oubre). Great locker room leader.

If you want to build a fantasy basketball team then you get a PPG guy like Randle. If you want to actually win real nba games you get a player like Aminu.

Guys like him and harkless do the dirty work and actually hide the issues Lillard and CJ have on D.

Such a cliche. Dirty workers have value, but it's not what wins in this league, but the talent level on the team. If it was true teams would be having 5 players of Aminu's caliber in the starting lineup.

Signing trash players will not help reduce Booker and Ayton's usage.

Identical career stats to Bender. Enough said. Just keep the younger, cheaper player in this case.

Having a team full of dirt workers isnt what wins but having a balanced team with some stars and some players who are willing to dive on the ground and fight for a lose ball.

If we can get randle for less then 15 it should be a no brainer. If Ayton/randle don’t improve on defense in the next 1-2 years we can package randle for a better fit. We definitely shouldn’t overpay for randle though.

For that list and salary
1. Randle
2. Kleber
3. Mirotic

But if randle starts costing 15m+ I’d move him down.

I doubt Kleber is available but he would be nice.

Randle would be a really nice pickup for 14. I thought our biggest weakness last year was rebounding (even bigger problem then pg). Randle is an excellent rebounder and showed ability to hit the three. Not the best help defender... but he spent years on a losing and dysfunctional Lakers team. We need to trust Monty can help Ayton/Randle grow in this area.

Randles problems on D is he is not a shot blocker at all but even worse is he's horrific at recognizing what's happening. The suns already have too many low IQ defenders. A team full of low IQ defenders is basically doomed to be a bad defensive team.

Watch the raps tomorrow, that's a team full of high IQ defenders.

Randle.

Look, we need good players on the roster and Randle is a good player who can start or come from the bench, he is a very scorer and great rebounder.

We have only one good frontcourt player on the roster: Ayton. That is it. We need help. Who is gonna score or rebound when he is on the bench, with foul's problem or injured?

I don't get the narrative about no needing Randle because we have Ayton ...no one plays 48 minutes during 82 games. With Randle on the team we would have an instant upgrade and an insurance at PF/C.

I don't want to watch SFs playing a lot of minutes out of position as a PFs, or G-league players with no future in the NBA or guys like Spalding or Bender as a rotation frontcourt players anymore.

I would love adding Randle. Beggars can't be choosers.

I would sign both Looney and Manimal. Let Holmes walk, start Manimal at the 4 because Ayton needs a dog next to him especially on defense.Let Kelly or TJ play the 4 off the bench

Found our PG target, she's going kill it once they switch to two basketballs at one time rule :)

Kleber without question. He has better outside shot, better shot blocker and better defender all things we need more of over the low post scoring that is the main part of Randle's game.

No, Siakam is one of the best young players in the league. You don't trade that for a guy who likely leaves. Kawhi will probably leave too. I think they will still be damn good even if Kawhi leaves, especially given the experience they are getting. I don't know if Anunoby would be ready to start but with Ibaka off the bench, or possibly going big with Siakam at the 3 and Ibaka at the 4 they will be tough. Masai is good at finding useful underrated players in the draft, like Siakam and Anunoby and even undrafted guys like Van Vleet.
