Maybe their clearing up for LeBron?

No. Lebron would take offense to being considered the Bulls secondary option after Melo. Plus, I believe they still don't have max money available. Probably around 16mil in cap room.

Even with amnestying him, that still leaves them with only about 15 million in cap space, well short of the max contracts for Carmelo and Lebron.

Probably. They can potentially S&T for LeBron. Be funny if they went for Deng.

Add Boozer to the Heat's wish list. Lol.

I think they're taking out the garbage for Melo. I read somewhere that Bulls wanted to include Boozer in a S&T for Melo, but Knicks said hell no. This forces Chicago to clear cap space with the amnesty.

Cutter wrote:Things aren't looking good at the moment for Riley and the Heat in terms of building a credible team around LeBron. It has been noted that this time around players (like Kyle Lower, Pau Gasol, Luol Deng) aren't willing to take lower than market salary just to play in Miami. This leaves available only third tier players looking to ring chase. Also, it is being reported that not only did Bosh and Wade NOT agree to take lower salary, Bosh actually stated he wants 5/$90 (do the math  ). Although it's only 2 days into FA, nothing of significance has been reported concerning the Heat rebuild.

Things could turn around for the Heat tomorrow, but for now there is hope in Phoenix for getting the King.

Well, lower annual salary (they each were going to make 20 million for 1 or 2 more years but longer contracts, which is smart for their careers, being their last contracts....as JD said). Total contracts give Wade $40 more and Bosh 50 more, but annually each 4-6 less.

Haha. I doubt Lebron would want to play with Boozer again though. Boozer left the Cavaliers for the Jazz when him and Lebron were together.

Anyone listening to that FoxSports Radio link? "The end of the big three for the Miami heat is starting to come."

Nah, if they don't amnesty him, they remove themselves from any chance at Melo, LeBron, or possibly even Gasol.

I often wonder if Boozer had stayed if the Cavs would have won it all. I bet Boozer wonders it. Then again, he was all about the money and probably still is.

Totally forgot about that! Didn't he say he was gonna return and suddenly signed with Utah?

FWIW, Woj was jumping on Fox Sports 1, the television network, not the radio network.

Yeah I remember it being something like that. I think they agreed to let him become a free agent and then he would re-sign or something. Then he bolted town and signed with Utah and everyone in Cleveland was really mad.

Yes, he opted out of his contract, which was allowed as a 2nd round pick, and they were going to give him a bigger deal, and Utah swept in and gave him an even BIGGER deal. I remember Simmons writing about it. At the time Cleveland had a blind owner and he wrote "Boozer stabbed a blind guy in the back!"

Kind of like Washington did with Arenas taking him from GS.

Well that sets the baseline for Bledsoe, he's better than lowry, but I think we all knew bled would get at least 12 a year.

It really doesn't. Bledsoe has to have a market. Many people thought Lowry was the most deserving all star snub...along with Dragic. I know you probably didn't see Lowry play much, but he was EXTREMELY STRONG this year.

He has started in most of the games he's played in for four years, has been in the league 8 years, and is REALLY good. Bledsoe has started half a season and been a backup for 4 years.

Lowry's #s this year. 17.7 ppg, 7.4 apg, 4.9 rpg, 1.5 spg, shot almost have his shots from 3, knocking down 38% (so that brought is overall % down to 42%). He is currently better offensively than Bledsoe but obviously not as good defensively.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... yky01.html

Bledsoe 17.7, 5.7, 4.7, 35.7% from 3, but better from 2. So actually pretty even. But he is injury prone. Based on half a season, you can give him at least 12, which is ok, but I wouldn't de-finitely say "he is better than Lowry".

You're right, I should have worded it differently. Lowry and Bledsoe are pretty much on the same level right now, however Bledsoe is younger and most people view more room for growth in his future, whereas Lowry while not declining, probably isn't gonna get any better over the next 4 years. If we offer anything lower than 12 per, lowry's deal will definitely get brought up in the negotiations.
