wonder why Ish would turn down and offer from the Suns. He would not have been a long shot to make this roster, as he is with the Wiz. Oh, well.

So to say, who cares or we shouldn't rely him, it's all good rhetoric but a not insignificant chunk of our success this season will be tied to his performance. Unless Leuer solidifies his GOAT status.
What I meant by "who cares" is it seems fairly clear we aren't going to trade him just to trade him. So to me that would mean we are getting something equivalent in return, or someone we already have steps up to replace him. I wouldn't care if either of the two of those things happen, for I'm not a player fan, but a team fan.

Marcus is better than I thought he'd be. He's craftier than I realized.

Agreed. That means Stanley Johnson is dispensable.
let's trade for him!

Yes, but no way can we include any picks, Goodwin, Warren or Booker for him. We need to keep the future hall of famers here.

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
I'm sure its been said already but I was just reading the old goran dragic thread (because I finally saw this "notifications" thingy
) and it occurred to me: Maybe the FO dealt with Kieff the way they did (ignoring his "demand") because they learned from the Dragic situation. I know it's water under the bridge and I'm not trying to seem salty. But I do (and always did) think that the FO should have handled Dragic EXACTLY the way they handled Kieff. Don't be petty and just do what's best for the basketball team to win more.
EDIT: Which, if this is the case, I think bodes very well for us. Whether or not I agree with everything McDonough has done. If he can prove that the team's performance comes above his ego, and he is willing to learn and adapt, then I will support him.

That's a great post and idea. If someone with the Nets with authority sees that, I think they would do it.

Apples and Oranges... these are two entirely different situations. Dragic was going to be an UFA, and Kieff is inked for the next 4 years. It was clear that Dragic was going to leave for either Miami or LakerLand so it was smart of the FO to at least get a pick for him while they could. Kieff on the other hand is stuck in his contract and has no leverage whatsoever to whether he gets traded or not. I'm sure if there was a reasonable offer on the table the FO would have taken it, but not even a sniff of a rumor indicates there was one. As soon as one comes across McD's desk, Kieff will be good as gone. Kieff has to start acting like a professional for this to happen, and we got our first glimpse of that on media day.

Those things would get jacked so fast... not even worth the time putting them up. Unfortunately this is the world we live in.

Guys you should read this about Knight, there is a reason why he shoots 3 too much and not drives.

I must have gotten about 100 versions of this comment to that post. But the idea was to hire a person to continually install nets all around the city - like a net patrol. So yeah, some nets would go down after a week or two, but nets are cheap. Gas is cheap, labor is cheap, the operation would be cheap.
I also heard, "People in the ghetto don't buy tickets, so this wouldn't make money."

Overall, about 3500 upvotes. Not bad.

Any chance we are taking a flyer on Sanders?
Unnamed West Team Internally Discussing Signing Larry Sanders
Oct 12, 2015 8:00 PM
A Western Conference team has had internal talks about signing Larry Sanders, according to a source.
Sanders and the Milwaukee Bucks agreed upon a buyout last season in which he took significantly less money to walk away from the game.
Sanders signed a four-year, $44 million extension in 2013 with the Bucks.
Any chance we are taking a flyer on Sanders?

No, probably Dallas. He's the last thing we need. We actually for the first time in forever have two rim protectors and the last thing we need is another headcase. Zero chance we'd do it.
